Rock it with the Rokit Designer's Guild

If you read your British fashion blogs, you'll know that Rokit vintage let a load of writers run amok in their warehouse over the weekend. Suffice to say the excitement levels resulting from vintage clothes, plus music, cakes and boozeretro hairstyling and nails were running very high (take a look at the Style PA's photos to get a taster of the event). I've been a loyal visitor to the Rokit stores for many moons now, so the range of clothes on offer wasn't so much of a surprise. However, I did learn about their Rokit Designer's Guild, an alternative  marketplace for new talent. It sells independent designers, covering fashion and jewellery certainly but also illustration and homewares.

My favourite designer in the guild is Cleo Ferin Mercury. This  Bonjour Tristesse t-shirt is £25 and her Celia Birtwell style illustrations make for some very pretty scarves too.

The stamp based jewellery of Love Mrs Boyd is also really fun. Buy these stamp earrings for your favourite philatelist. They're just £8.

Scrabble and booze? Miss Holly's Boutique knows how to keep the Domestic Sluts happy. This necklace is £15.

The range for sale is still small but they're looking for more designers to join the guild so, if you've got a crafty talent you want to take to a wider marketplace, take a look here. All they ask is what you're selling embodies the vintage ideas of individuality, craftmanship and originality, which sounds like a great set of criteria to me. Everyone else, happy shopping!

  1. That sounds awesome, I'd love to run around a warehouse full of vintage coolness.

Those stamp earrings totally have my name.

  2. I've spotted the stamp jewellery lady in Greenwich Market. In fact, I have a stamp brooch. I have a stamp brooch because the earings are way too big. Looks like you're getting ready to post your ears. But the brooch is just the right size.

  3. That gin/scrabble necklace has made my day. It combines two of my favouritest things!
