Design Porn: Karen Risby

One of the reasons I love ceramic design so much is that there's so much freedom with it. One day I'm head over heels with the shape of a bowl, the next I've discovered Karen Risby and I'm totally smitten with her quirky figurines.

The figures sometimes have birds decorating them.

Or sometimes little crowns.

And sometimes even buildings. Why not, eh?

I like to think of these as Royal Doulton figures for the 21st Century. Price start at £12 so not only are they a much prettier option, they're a whole load cheaper as well.
