Win! A dress from Fever London


On the sixth day of Christmas, Domestic Sluttery gave to me... a gorgeous red dress from Fever London.

We are going Fever crazy today (no, YOU'RE obsessed). Our very exciting charity jumble sale is taking place in their London shop tonight. Are you coming? You really should. There's a huge 20% discount on the whole Fever range, and you can snap up all of our pretty clothes for cheap. All of the jumble sale selling will go straight to Shelter so you're getting pretty things and doing some good as well. Here's a flier.



But that's not what this post is about. Oh no. This post is about WINNING. We've got a Fever dress to give away to one of your readers. That red one in the top photo. Sexy isn't it? Yep.

So what do you have to do to win it? Simple! Just tell us in the comments below where you'd wear this piece of pretty. That's it! No extra entries today, but please make sure you pay attention to the small print - we discount all anon entries.

You've got until midnight tonight to enter, and we'll announce the winner when we tell you what Friday's competition is. We're open to bribes if you come and help us raise money Shelter later tonight.

    If I wo, I'd wear this to my best friend's wedding on New Year's Eve! I have a dress in mind, but this one would pip it to the post. Luckily, with it being a Christmassy wedding and also with my friend being pretty non-traditional, wearing red would be fine :)

    I would wear it to the work Christmas party - it would be perfect to sashay around in, being all sophisticated and glamorous in ridiculously high shoes whilst sipping champagne.     I'm performing in a Burlesque show in a couple of weeks, preceded by drinks with my boyfriend's work colleagues. He's never seen me perform before, so I'd wear this to the drinks; a chic and stylish piece with a cheeky nod to the sauciness to come!

    Having sneakily spent the day googling 'ratpack' theme, I'd throw a shawl over this and wear it in a 1950s style to my work Christmas party. Cleverly I'd use this nice dress to look awesome and disguise my shyness as being sophisticated and aloof. Hooray!

    In that case it would be one of the Weddings that are happening next year. The guy who was best man at my Wedding is getting married in August, so excited! Would wear it for that. Totally wedding appropriate dress!

    For a meal then cocktails with my boyfriend in the wonderful restaurant in Cheltenham that is a converted 1920's Art Deco picture house called the Daffodil. I think the dress would add to the ambience of the place, and I would feel right at home.

    Oh gosh, I'd wear it every excuse possible... Cocktails with the girls, to my frighteningly dull day job (got to have something to brighten it up!), more cocktails with the girls, vacuuming the house like I did in my wedding dress, a Blitz party, shopping, tea, walking a borrowed Basset Hound in Hyde Park oblivious to how many other girls are checking my outfit out. And of course, it would be treated with great care, like a great dress should be!

    I've recently been made redundant and have started my own business from our box bedroom. I therefore no longer have to dress for work. No more wearing nice dresses, you say? Certainly not. Some of my nicest dresses were the result of several hours of swearing (I love making my own clothes, but it throws me into a creative righteous rage). These cannot be allowed to languish in the cupboard, and therefore my latest homage to the 1950s is to change into a pretty dress just before my husband gets home. If I'm feeling particularly festive, I wear a matching pinnny. This little red number would go nicely with my black and red apple-print apron (also homemade) and would be perfect for, I don't know, Wednesdays.

    ALthough this dress is very jolly and would be lovely on Christmas day, I don't think it would accomodate Christmas lunch, so I think I would save it for our annual family murder mystery evening.... I am playing a "mysterious Italian lady" and I think it would fit the bill perfectly!

    Red is my favourite colour and you have never have enough in your wardrobe. A la Miss Ambler's red 'Submarine' coat, red always gives a timeless edge to most outfits. I don't think it matters on the occasion. It is more how confident you feel in yourself and project it through your style. Red all the way! Rox

    Id wear it Christmas Eve first. Me and my kids are having a chimenea fire, roasting chestnuts and potatoes, and drinking hot chocolate. We will be sat outside, so i will be wearing it with my wellies and under a fleecy blanket....but wow...my kids will think they have wonderwoman on loan for the festive season! Yay

    If I had to give a formal presentation (not that I have to do that very often these days), I would wear this. I would add very high heels and a wiggle. Hopefully the audience would not notice if I made mistakes as they would be too dazzled by the gorgeousness of the dress. Christina

    I would wear this dress in the event that I ever need to gatecrash a cocktail party thrown by my ex-husband to celebrate his new engagement. I would accessorise with steely laughter, and a red cocktail clutched in each fist-- one to knock back, one to throw in faces.

    I've never actually been married at any point yet, so this dress would very much be an 'investment piece' for me.
