On the sixth day of Christmas, Domestic Sluttery gave to me... a gorgeous red dress from Fever London.
We are going Fever crazy today (no, YOU'RE obsessed). Our very exciting charity jumble sale is taking place in their London shop tonight. Are you coming? You really should. There's a huge 20% discount on the whole Fever range, and you can snap up all of our pretty clothes for cheap. All of the jumble sale selling will go straight to Shelter so you're getting pretty things and doing some good as well. Here's a flier.
But that's not what this post is about. Oh no. This post is about WINNING. We've got a Fever dress to give away to one of your readers. That red one in the top photo. Sexy isn't it? Yep.
So what do you have to do to win it? Simple! Just tell us in the comments below where you'd wear this piece of pretty. That's it! No extra entries today, but please make sure you pay attention to the small print - we discount all anon entries.
You've got until midnight tonight to enter, and we'll announce the winner when we tell you what Friday's competition is.
Wondering who won the Hope & Greenwood hamper yesterday? That would be Laura Bentley via our Facebook page who said that chocolates and limes were her favourite. Laura, just email us to claim your prize!
Good luck today, everyone!
Oh yawn, small print (read it). The competition will close at midnight on December 8th. You must be UK based AND leave a name with your comment so that we know who you are! If you're anon your entry won't count. Please only enter once or we'll discount all of your entries and tell you off. The nice ladies at Fever reserve the right to change the prize and offer you another item to the same value (handy if your size sells out from all of our shopping tonight). If you've already won one competition, let someone else have a bash and go and play with your toys! We're not allowed to enter our own competitions, but Siany would wear this to the Sluttery Christmas party.
If I wo, I'd wear this to my best friend's wedding on New Year's Eve! I have a dress in mind, but this one would pip it to the post. Luckily, with it being a Christmassy wedding and also with my friend being pretty non-traditional, wearing red would be fine :)
ReplyDeleteMy email address is [email protected]
Ooh, I would wear that everywhere, tbh! Even to do the washing up! (although probably under a pinny...) I think it would make the whole tedious cleaning the kitchen business much more glamorous
ReplyDeleteI would wear it to the work Christmas party - it would be perfect to sashay around in, being all sophisticated and glamorous in ridiculously high shoes whilst sipping champagne. The party's next Thursday though so please announce the winner pronto so I can hit the shops in the likely event that I'm unsuccessful here. Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it cooking Christmas dinner and then go stand next to the Christmas tree to see what looks more magnificent.
ReplyDeleteI would wear it to my office Christmas party with black skyscaper heels and a black clutch and look utterly fabulous, darling.
ReplyDeleteI would wear this dress to work. It'd cheer me up no end, despite the fact I have to be in the office between Xmas & New Year.
ReplyDeleteI would wear it to the staff Christmas meal. I've never had a red dress before and this would blow them away! Might even wear it to the pub on Christmas morning!
ReplyDeleteI would wear it on Christmas Day, I'm going to be alone this year so I'm going to glam myself up and have a fabulous Christmas daaahling :)
ReplyDeleteI'm performing in a Burlesque show in a couple of weeks, preceded by drinks with my boyfriend's work colleagues. He's never seen me perform before, so I'd wear this to the drinks; a chic and stylish piece with a cheeky nod to the sauciness to come!
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it for New Year's drinks to coordinate with my glass of mulled wine. But first, I'd wear it to write the Christmas cards and decorate the tree. Feels much more festive if you're dressed up!
ReplyDeleteI have a Christmas Wedding to attend and this would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteI'd wear this out to dinner, because I haven't been out to dinner in so long! I need an excuse to frock up :)
ReplyDeletedempss01(at)student(dot)uwa(dot)edu(dot)au
Ooo that's so hot. I would wear it to my work Xmas do to demonstrate that actually, I'm not always a total scruff (I am, though) xx
ReplyDeleteHow BEAUTIFUL it is! I think I'd definitely wear this to the New Year's Eve party I can attend now I have a job. New year, new job, new dress- fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI've ended up being an impromptu host for a New Year's bash this year (friend who was going to host it now won't have a house at the time!), so I'd wear it then
ReplyDeleteWow, what a fabulously beautiful georgeous dress.... I would most definitely wear it EVERYWHERE!!! :o))))
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it to my birthday party in Jan. No one ever has any money so I would be able to cheer them up by looking fab!!
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it for my first Christmas with my boyfriend, which is late, after our respective family celebrations. Hopefully it would bring some glamorous festive cheer to the house!
ReplyDeleteBeing 41 and just about to become a granny for the 2nd time I think I would wear this dress as I carry out my duties being birthing partner for my daughter. With the help of this dress I think I just might be the most glamorous granny on the ward! ;)
ReplyDeleteI would wear it to a 1940s 'Blitz Party', along with a Marseille wave, red lipstick and a smile!
ReplyDeleteI would wear this Christmas Eve, with some fluffy white accessories and impossibly high heels, while creeping around the house filling stockings. Then afterwards, a reward of champers!
ReplyDeleteI'd wear this peice of fabulousness under my dressing gown on Christmas morning, with slippers. It would add a certain zing to present opening!
ReplyDeleteThis would definitely have to be my nye dress. "what's that, you love my dress? YEAH YOU DO!!" ;) x
ReplyDelete[email protected]
I have a total of six, yes six Christmas do's to go to so I need all the help I can get to find gorgeous dresses for them all and this one is a beauty!! Very glam and the perfect Christmassy colour!
ReplyDeleteTo Chirstmas Parties! With the red courts that I never get to wear. And then maybe to internship interviews, if I get that far.
ReplyDeleteThis dress is so fabulous and flattering that I'd wear this to my friend's wedding that my ex-boyfriend is also invited to, so he'll have an eyeful of what he's missing!
ReplyDeleteThis dress is for Spring day dates, for strolling around parks with a hand to hold, the other clutching a warm coffee; for brogues, for earmuffs and for thick knit shawls. It is for me anyway!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely wear this gorgeous little thing on a night out with my boyfriend. I have to head away for Christmas so we're are saving our Christmas for when I return. What a lovely surprise this would be!
ReplyDeleteI would wear it to Midnight mass on Christmas eve just to show off my 7 stone weight loss this year!! Oh yeahhhhhhh!! xxx
ReplyDeleteooo I love it and I love the colour. I would wear this to my girls christmas drinks and enjoy the christmas cocktails all the more.
ReplyDeleteHaving sneakily spent the day googling 'ratpack' theme, I'd throw a shawl over this and wear it in a 1950s style to my work Christmas party. Cleverly I'd use this nice dress to look awesome and disguise my shyness as being sophisticated and aloof. Hooray!
ReplyDeleteLove it, love it, love it!! I'd wear it at the New Year's Eve party at the pool bar on the top of the Rex Hotel in Saigon - well that dress does deserve a special occasion....
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of meeting my husband. I'm WAY hotter now than I was then and this dress would absolutely light the fire in him!
ReplyDeleteOhh it's lovely! I'm going to a wedding the first weekend in January so maybe I'd wear it there. Of course NYE is always an option too!
ReplyDeleteI would say I'd wear it to a party on New Years Eve, but my husband and I have just moved so we have no plans yet... :-(
ReplyDeleteIn that case it would be one of the Weddings that are happening next year. The guy who was best man at my Wedding is getting married in August, so excited! Would wear it for that. Totally wedding appropriate dress!
Natalie xxx
Everywhere!
ReplyDeleteI would wear it on christmas day!
ReplyDeleteA dress a gorgeous as that would have to be worn as much as possible but i would wear it to the new years eve party we have been invited to it would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteFor a meal then cocktails with my boyfriend in the wonderful restaurant in Cheltenham that is a converted 1920's Art Deco picture house called the Daffodil. I think the dress would add to the ambience of the place, and I would feel right at home.
ReplyDeleteI would wear this dress for the Christmas meal with my friends, it's the perfect Christmas colour!
ReplyDeleteI would wear this dress to the 'pre-1990's film characters' party that I am going to on New Years Eve and would go as, The Lady in Red, of course!
ReplyDeleteEvery year our friends throw a party on Boxing Day, this dress would solve my outfit problem!
ReplyDeleteOo, do fantasy situations count? Ideally I would wear it while saying something cutting to Humphrey Bogart, possibly while leaning on a (white!)baby grand.
ReplyDeleteI'd wear this to the office to get the miserable lot here in the Christmas mood, then to my boyfriend's black tie work Christmas party next week which I still haven't managed to choose a dress for (because I hadn't seen this one yet! This would be perfect!)
ReplyDeleteLaura xx
I would wear this dress to a potentially very awkward and, for them, wholly unexpected meeting with my parents.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, I'd wear it every excuse possible... Cocktails with the girls, to my frighteningly dull day job (got to have something to brighten it up!), more cocktails with the girls, vacuuming the house like I did in my wedding dress, a Blitz party, shopping, tea, walking a borrowed Basset Hound in Hyde Park oblivious to how many other girls are checking my outfit out. And of course, it would be treated with great care, like a great dress should be!
ReplyDeleteWhen I wanted to feel like a very glamorous scarlet woman
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it to dinner on Christmas Day to make up for the fact that due to a restaurant communication error regarding my vegetarianism, I will be eating a microwave meal!
ReplyDeleteI would wear this to my calm and quiet new year celebration with my boyfriend and some friends. It will be our first Hogmanay spent together so I'd love to look as snazzy as this and pretend that I always wear those kind of things on New Year....
ReplyDeleteTo all the VIP parties I'd feel obliged to gatecrash with such a smexy outfit :)
ReplyDeleteTo my Birthday on Christmas Eve, Selfish reason - I never have enough money to buy myself a dress after buying all the Christmas presents, and my birthday often gets over looked, in this dress it would be hard to ignore!! Stupid Christmas birthdays!
ReplyDeleteIt's our 10th Wedding anniversary just before Christmas and my husband is taking me to a posh restaurant for dinner. I'd love to wear this beautiful dress so that I can fit right in with all of the other diners.
ReplyDeleteI'd wear this dress to my office party. I may not get a pay rise but at least I'd get a few free drinks. Nothing more than that, I'm not that kind of a bloke!!
ReplyDeleteIf I won this, I would wear it out to dinner with my boyfriend when we go to Bruges early next year - it's perfect for a possible popping of the question ;-)
ReplyDeleteI am rather ill at the moment with stomach problems, so I reckon I would wear it while curled up on the sofa after being knocked out by my painkillers. A bit of glamour would cheer me up no end
ReplyDeletein my imagination as i'm far too fat! i'd love it for a xmas pressie for my thin mate though! [email protected]
ReplyDeleteI would wear it at the best possible place - Club Noir, a burlesque club in glasgow, for my 20th birthday in January, surrounded by my frienda and yummy/dangerous fishbowl cocktails....
ReplyDelete[email protected] xoxo
New Years Eve - start the year as I mean to go on!
ReplyDeleteI'd dress is up 'Joan Harris' from Madmen style with heels, a cardigan and gold clip and matching lipstick....then I'd crash an office party because I'm a stay at home mum!
ReplyDeleteKathryn MacKinnon x
I would be very tempted to wear this to our Marine Physics 'go-karting Christmas event' as I will be the only girl there! ('though the fear of ruining it might put me off!) Who says scientists can't be sexy?!
ReplyDeletePlus, they would hate to be beaten by a girl, let alone a well-dressed one!
Oooh that's too gorgeous to only wear on special occasions, it'd be a staple in my wardrobe as I'd want to show it off at every opportunity! I think every girl should have a sassy little red number in her collection, & this fits the bill perfectly. I bet even Santa's Mrs has this one on her Christmas wish list! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it anytime, but, as I have no office party to attend, I'd try for New Year's Eve or just a night out!
ReplyDeleteI would wear this everywhere!! But it's first outing would probably be to my hubby's work christmas do ... being freelance i've never actually been to a work christmas party before so i'm beyond excited. Just wishing they had secret santa too ...
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it as soon as I get my red hair re-dyed and I'm off out for festive fun, so no-one will miss me!
ReplyDeleteI would not wear it anywhere because if I won it, I would give it to my lovely niece for Christmas.
ReplyDelete[email protected]
I've recently been made redundant and have started my own business from our box bedroom. I therefore no longer have to dress for work. No more wearing nice dresses, you say? Certainly not. Some of my nicest dresses were the result of several hours of swearing (I love making my own clothes, but it throws me into a creative righteous rage). These cannot be allowed to languish in the cupboard, and therefore my latest homage to the 1950s is to change into a pretty dress just before my husband gets home. If I'm feeling particularly festive, I wear a matching pinnny. This little red number would go nicely with my black and red apple-print apron (also homemade) and would be perfect for, I don't know, Wednesdays.
ReplyDeleteI'd wear this dress to the debut of the new me. I've been feeling (and looking) a bit dowdy lately, so decided to sort it out for Christmas by getting a new hairstyle, shoes, make-up etc. The only thing missing was the killer dress, until now!
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it to my old brothers' 30th birthday. I think it would go very nicely with champagne and canapes.
ReplyDeleteIgnore Pete Cashmore. He'd give it to me, to make up for the fact that having a birthday nine days before Christmas means I get less presents than normal. WAAHHHSOBWAHHH! *blatantly trying to elicit sympathy and a free dress face*
ReplyDeleteI'd take with me on my honeymoon to Australia in a week's time!!! So I can wear it for my lovely hubby and remind him why he married me ;-)
ReplyDeleteForget Christmas, this would be saved for my dissertation viva next year! Perfect for getting the examiners to look, not listen, and therefore ignore any incongrous errors I make ;)
ReplyDeleteto the gym. WHY NOT?!
ReplyDeleteWe'll soon be renewing our wedding vows. I'll reserve this dress for our first dance afterwards :)
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it on my birthday on New Years Eve. Thirty this year. Eep!
ReplyDeleteI always dress up on Christmas day so I'd wear it then. Then it would get several more outtings to different events, but never with the same people! Well, you'd have to make the best of such a lovely dress!
ReplyDeleteALthough this dress is very jolly and would be lovely on Christmas day, I don't think it would accomodate Christmas lunch, so I think I would save it for our annual family murder mystery evening.... I am playing a "mysterious Italian lady" and I think it would fit the bill perfectly!
ReplyDeleteAs I have never owned a red dress this would be really special and my little girl Ava would be delighted to see me in it rather than jeans and boots! I would book a babysitter and me and my fella would paint the town 'Red!'xxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteI would wear it to a special "do" when I go and visit my family back in Austria in the beginning of next year. They very rarely see me dressed up - and that would be an extra special treat - both for them and for me.
ReplyDeleteI would wear it at my birthday do next weekend - only after that is Christmas allowed to begin!
ReplyDeleteThis is Christmas in a dress so perfect for Mulled Wine and Mince Pies. It's Christmasssssss!
ReplyDeleteOur work Christmas party has been cancelled this year due to lack of interest. So I would wear this special dress for the New Years party I am going to - I hope the week-old mistletoe is still valid!
ReplyDeleteRed is my favourite colour and you have never have enough in your wardrobe. A la Miss Ambler's red 'Submarine' coat, red always gives a timeless edge to most outfits. I don't think it matters on the occasion. It is more how confident you feel in yourself and project it through your style. Red all the way! Rox
ReplyDeleteI would wear it everywhere! I don't get out much but we dress up for Christmas every year and this would be awesome to have! xxx
ReplyDeleteI am getting married next year and I have been looking for a great dress for my "classy but drunken" themed hen do in London in February, I think this might just be the perfect dress!
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend's mum dresses up all the time, currently I am the girlfriend in jeans! I would wear this to their boxing day dinner and surprise her with my elegant/glamorous side! Don't get me wrong I wear dresses and skirts on nights out, but I'm struggling to find pretty dresses that oooze sophistication like this one :-)
ReplyDeleteSee you all at Fever tonight.

ReplyDeleteSee you all at Fever tonight.
I'd wear this fabulous dress to a work event I have just before Christmas at a swanky restaurant in central London - it would bring some much-needed warmth to this cold winter!
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it on valentines day as its such a flattering colour for me and it would encourage my partner to dress up and take me somewhere special for dinner!
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it on valentines day as its such a flattering colour for me and it would encourage my partner to dress up and take me somewhere special for dinner!
ReplyDeleteI have an interview next week and need to dazzle as it's a job I really want. Unfortunately my wardrobe needs an upgrade, so, for the sake of my career, this would be a fantastic prize!
ReplyDeleteI would wear it everywhere!
ReplyDeletewith having black hair this would be fab for me, red is my favourite colour to wear. Unfortunately after having a million kids I'm a bit of a frump, haha. I'd wear this is a surprise for myhubby2be, I'd book an evening out at a gorgeous restaurant, then continue somewhere else for cocktails :) I wouldn't let him see me though, not until I was done up. He would absolutely love this dress x

Wow, what a lovely dress! I'd wear this when working for my friend. She has a vintage style t-shop that she takes .to festivals, and this dress would compliment the style and glamour of the amazing space she has created
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it to my work's Christmas party. In fact, I've got the perfect pair of shoes to go with it! I bought them on a whim but haven't anything to match!
ReplyDeleteI'm engaged - yay me! I would wear this out to my very sophisticated hen night. No loud sashes and blinking tiara's with things feathers and whoosits, instead to dinner, theatre and cocktails with the girls.
ReplyDeleteWow it's gorgeous! I would wear it on New Years Eve to the party my Aunt is having
ReplyDeleteits lovely, I would it to my works xmas do and on christmas day. loce the colour.
ReplyDeleteRed is my favourite colour- I would love to wear this on Xmas day
ReplyDeleteId wear it Christmas Eve first. Me and my kids are having a chimenea fire, roasting chestnuts and potatoes, and drinking hot chocolate. We will be sat outside, so i will be wearing it with my wellies and under a fleecy blanket....but wow...my kids will think they have wonderwoman on loan for the festive season! Yay
ReplyDeleteWell, given that I have 3 small children and no social life it would either end up adorning the front of my warderobe in an "I wish I had an occasion to wear it" sort of way, or I could go bold and wear it on the school run, to toddler group, around Tesco...
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness.
ReplyDeleteI would wear this on our Christmas night to emphasise my new curves and new snazzy hair do!
THis is a perfect Christmas day dress! Then I would recycle it in the new year when I'm off for a glam weekend away to NYC.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to give a formal presentation (not that I have to do that very often these days), I would wear this. I would add very high heels and a wiggle. Hopefully the audience would not notice if I made mistakes as they would be too dazzled by the gorgeousness of the dress. Christina
ReplyDeleteI would wear this on Christmas day with the family.
ReplyDeleteTo my boyfriend's work Christmas party!
ReplyDeleteI'd wear this gorgeous dress on Christmas Eve as we have booked a lovely night out with my husband and daughter. This dress will be perfect and I love this colour :) x
ReplyDeleteLove that dress! I'd wear to my Christmas celebrations with my family. Christmas in my house is on new year's eve this year, as I have to work on Christmas. boo! That dress would cheer me up!
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend has promised to take me out somewhere very glamorous and worthy of this dress if I win.... I'd like to find out where this mysterious place might be!! Can't wait to be out in London town in the snow and glittery lights living it up in this dress....
ReplyDeleteI'd wear this to the New Year's Eve dinner that I am hosting for 10 of us; I think it would strike the ideal note.
ReplyDeleteThat dress is gorgeous! I just got engaged and then my fiancé had to go offshore for six weeks for work so I would wear this dress upon his return to show him what he's been missing!
ReplyDeleteThe office party all the way - that's a really stunning dress x
ReplyDeleteTo my New Year's Eve party - I really would be the belle of the ball!
ReplyDeleteAfter I'd worn it for Christmas and New Year, I'd wear it for sitting on the sofa watching telly, just to get some more use out of it!
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning! I'd wear it at my mother's New Year's Eve dinner, just to start the year on a glamorous note, and of course impress everyone at the after party! :)

If I won this I would wear it... round the house...
ReplyDeletePair of fab heels and gorgeous dress tottering round the house... why leave wearing something so stunning to going out it deserves to be worn all the time not just now and then
too big, round and pregnant for it at the moment but it looks like a classic item i would save it for my best mates hen do in may, cant wait to look human again @lillyfer85
ReplyDeleteI would wear this to match the raspberry martinis I plan to be necking after I've worked hard performing on New Years Eve!
ReplyDeleteI'd get changed into it on the train back to Wales for christmas - give my boyfriend a nice surprise when he meets me at the train station!
ReplyDeletelove it - would wear it to my girls christmas meal out!
ReplyDelete@ashlallan
I would wear this dress in the event that I ever need to gatecrash a cocktail party thrown by my ex-husband to celebrate his new engagement. I would accessorise with steely laughter, and a red cocktail clutched in each fist-- one to knock back, one to throw in faces.
ReplyDeleteI've never actually been married at any point yet, so this dress would very much be an 'investment piece' for me.
I`d give it to whichever of my female friends offers me the most mince pies for it! :O)
ReplyDeleteI'd wear this fabulous dress to my own annual New Year's Eve party - I normally wear a rather frumpy black 'cover everything' sack frock but I've lost 2 stone this year and am ready to show it off!
ReplyDeleteI'd wear this dress to the Christmas works do. I'm sure it would impress the guy I've got my eye on:)
ReplyDelete@sheldex

Looks perfect for NYE cocktails to me.
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it for the meal I'm going to before xmas :D
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it for New Years Eve!
ReplyDeleteI'd wear it at the surprise meal and hotel night I've booked for me and my husband before Christmas. Rawr.
ReplyDeleteI'd wear this gorgeous dress on Christmas day - this is the first year that it will just be my husband and I (although we've been together 11 years) so it's going to be an extra special and really rather romantic Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThis dress is gorgeous! I'd dress it down and wear it to work when i'm feeling outgoing and i'd dress it up with killer heels and wear it out for pre-christmas cocktails with the girls!
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely dress - I would have to wear it the day before christmas, for a bit of us time before the kids send us crazy with their excitement!
ReplyDeleteThat's gorgeous. I'd make my husband take me to a posh restaurant so I could get all dolled up on this stunning dress.
ReplyDeleteI would wear this dress on the weekend away that me and my husband have planned over xmas. We haven't been away for 2 years so we can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI would wear this to my works party - maybe it would give me enough bravery to approach a certain someone with the misteltoe!
ReplyDeleteI reckon if I had this dress, I'd wear it to stand for Prime Minister. Everyone would be so impressed with my style they'd vote for me and then when I was elected, I'd immediately stand down because I've got important crochet to do. Boom.
ReplyDeleteA very smexy dress. Want one!
