Dream Dress: Lucky in Red

In China, red is said to be lucky. Very lucky. I remember once being with a red-headed Aussie chap in Beijing and him waking from a nap in the train station to find money resting on his head. He was a bit taken aback. It's not just red hair, or the exchanging of red envelopes that's seen as lucky. Wearing red is also said to bring fortune, so I've found three gorgeous red numbers under £50.

Gosh her waist is tiny. But this red pencil dress is still foxy. I love the collar detail. It's £40 from ASOS.

This isn't the easiest dress to wear (when have bright layers of chiffon ever been easy?) but it's worth trying on. Wear with high heels and lots of leg. It's in the sale and £30 from Joy.

I wish River Island would put their dresses on models. This red print shift will look so glorious on, but I'll admit that it doesn't look like much in this picture. But trust me, it'll look fabulous. It's only £25 too. Now that's very lucky.

  1. Holy smokes that woman is thin. She looks very photoshopped to me.

  3. I think her tiny waist might be thanks to Photoshop!

  4. I think so too - she's thin, but if you watch the video you can see a difference. There's just no need for it, is there?
