Sluttishly Smelly: Beautannia

Despite not being a massive beauty fiend, I get giddy over new scents. I could spend ages in shops sniffing candles and lotions and perfumes. I don't think I've ever gone on holiday without buying something from the Duty Free counter. Beautannia are my latest discovery and definitely my new favourite smellies brand.

As the name might suggest, Beautannia are inspired by all things British. It's just got the yummiest packaging - sleek, quirky, interesting - basically everything I've ever wanted from a toiletries range. Brighton smells more of the sea than anything else I've ever smelled in a bottle, it's so unbelievably fresh. Bloomsbury smells rich and sweet - it's perfect. It's expensive.

I could not love the design of this soap more. Brideshead is the most masculine of the scents and one of my favourites. If you like rich, woody scents then this one is for you. Even if you wouldn't wear a strong scent, I like that you can opt for a scented candle or room spray.

Balfour was my least favourite scent - it's just a little too 'mature' for me. Still, I know a few people who would love the range as a gift.

I discovered Beautannia just playing about in Space NK. Prices start at £15 so it's definitely too expensive for everyday smellies but if I wanted to treat myself to something special, this is what I'd spend my money on.
