Design Porn: Alice Mara

I've been a fan of Alice Mara since writing about her hanging people crockery three years ago. Now she's got a new range that's totally different, but no less enticing. Her bold and everyday photography has been digitally printed onto gorgeous ceramics and it's so eyecatching. This trolley cake stand is gorgeous.

Predictably, I want everything but it's the Walthamstow Dogs Stadium range has really captured my attention.

I love the little dog hidden in the teacup. He'd make me smile when I finished my tea. Or if I was in a bad mood, maybe I'd pretend I was drowning him with Twinings. (That was pretty dark, not entirely sure where that came from.)

This track plate is my absolute favourite piece. Mainly because the greyhound is bright pink. Frankly, I'd back the bright pink greyhound.

I really like this bold new range and hope Alice does more work like this (there's a sink design, which I'm less fond of, but I've spotted a fruit and veg stall plate on her website that I like very much). Prices start at around £28 from the wonderful but difficult to navigate Not Mass Produced.
