Lovely Juggly

I'm blaming my current obsession with jugs on my recent acquisition of a Welsh dresser. There's just something about it that says "Hey Sel, you know what would look great on me? A jug or two. Yeah. That's right. Go and buy some." Of course, I could be hallucinating from sleep deprivation but it really is saying that to me. You shush, I'll take my justification where I can find it.

I loved Emma Bridgewater's Great Britain design on the teapot but prefer the jug (the shape of the teapot sadly doesn't appeal to me). It's subtle but effective and I'm a sucker for blue and white pottery. This jug is £19.95.

Part of me wants something a bit offbeat. That part of me is totally in love with this cow jug from Liberty. Of course I would have to name it Ermintrude.

She's a bit kitsch and udderly adorable. Ahem. Anyway, this jug is £23.

I can't tear myself away from the blue and white though and this Butterfly jug by Jasper Conran for Wedgwood is going to be mine. The shape is quite modern but the pattern is gorgeously traditional which makes it the perfect mix and top of my jug want list.

Luckily for me, it's also on sale at the moment at £30 reduced from £60. See, it makes perfect sense to think your furniture talks to you when it makes you buy such loveliness.

  1. Och, I love the Wedgwood one....I have a full tea set in the plain version but I so want some of the newer patterned ones to mix in with it.

The cow is bally marvellous though. But I'd never get him indoors to agree to it.
