Teapot Tuesday: Richard Brendon's Details from Willow

Richard Brendon photographs traditional blue and white willow pattern china, and then uses those details to create ceramic transfers. They're then applied to fine bone China that's been produced in Stoke-on-Trent, and the finished product is this gorgeous willow teapot design.

I love that the design is so subtle, the little touches are eye-catching and much more interesting than covering the whole piece in Willow patterns. The details are actually really cleverly placed - birds on the lid, houses on the spout - but if you've got any vintage blue and white china, it'll fit right in. The clever mix of playing about with old and new is something that always appeals to me.

Oh no, now I want the rest of the the range. Especially the cups and saucers to go with the teapot. You can buy the teapot from Bouf for £55 where you can pick up the rest of the 'Details from Willow' range.
