Clever Cardboard Dutch Design Chair

This item is a bit a like Superman in that you can ask many questions about what it is. Is it a table? Is it a stool? Is it made from a tree? Well, the answers are yes, yes and sort of. It's made from cardboard and since that's technically made from trees then the print isn't too inaccurate!

Dutch Design Chair have created this multi-purpose cardboard flat pack in such a way that it can support up to 200kg of weight. That's cardboard supporting the equivalent of a lion or a bear (thanks, scientific internet research) which is A Lot.

I still can't quite get my head around how cardboard can be that strong which is probably why I'm not an engineer. If you want to try it for yourself (though I don't recommend using bears or lions to test the strength), they come in nine different designs and are £24.95 from Dotmaison.
