Willow ceramics are a classic that always look good (check our Laura H's in her lychee cupcake recipe), but welovekarou aren't known for sticking to the rules. If there's a classic, they're going to give it a bit of an update. Now, I don't want to say 'classic with a twist' (I'm not Rachel Khoo), but well... that's precisely what WLK have done with their London Willow design.
Dragons and will trees are cannily replaced with the Gherkin building and Tower Bridge. Ace.
You know what's better than pagodas? Battersea Power Station. What's nicer than little rowing boats? Traffic lights and CCTV cameras.
The range might have been released for London 2012, but even months after the Olympics the design still works. It still looks like a classic and hasn't dated at all. It's not cheap - the pieces start at £24 - but if you're looking for a special London-inspired gift for someone, this is perfect.
