Etsy Pick: The Rework House

Meet Cedric (as I have just named him). He's nominating himself and all other stags to be in the running for Animal Of The Year. It helps his cause that he is framed by a very lovely plate which is the handiwork of Sarah at The Rework House.

Sarah is a collector of what she calls treasures - old things that have been loved by others and that have a story - that she then works into new pieces of art to give them a new purpose. The Rework House came about thanks to friends, family and others requesting their own pieces of reworked china art after seeing the pieces Sarah had done to brighten up her new Cornish home.

Lace doily shade, £396

I really like that Sarah does her pieces with the intention of giving what other people may consider junk a new lease of life and a loving home. She also does commissions like the doily light shade if you get in touch with her. The only problem is trying not to buy all of it!
