Sluttery by Post: Crafty Creatives

Crafty Creatives are my absolutely favourite postal subscription. For £10 a month, you'll be posted an exciting box full of intriguing craft goodies.

Everything is incredibly high quality and beautifully packaged, but it has a friendly DIY ethos at heart too. Each month has a new theme: past months have included gothic, woodland, icy and nautical goodies. You might get pendants, ribbons, charms, buttons, origami paper - basically a box crammed (and I mean crammed, you'll get half a craft shop in each) with gorgeous, curious objects to fire your imagination.

Each box includes a self-contained kit for a new project, meaning you can get cracking on something straight away. Would I have ever made a nautical bracelet or bound my own notebook without it? Doubtful, and yet I loved both those projects.

Crafty Creatives have their own blog full of ideas on how to use your box, and they also do a round-up of what other bloggers have written so you can get inspired. It all feels fun and inclusive, like being at school and messing around during art classes and just having a lovely time. You don't have to be an expert crafter to sign up, nor do you have to have a cupboard full of tools and fabrics - everything you need is in the box.

Give them a go, they've properly cheered up the winter evenings for me. A cup of tea, a crafting project and a favourite album on is bliss.

  1. This is the kind of thing I'd send someone for their birthday. Crafty presents are the best.

    1. Yes, I've done that - it goes down a treat. It's very easy to cancel your subscription too (not that you'd want to), just click a button in your account.

  4. Sounds promising, but I can see myself signing up and then ending up with a cupboard full of crafty supplies that I have no intention of actually using! I might just do it anyway...

    1. I spent ages keeping my supplies in their individual boxes, but now I've thrown everything together in a big crafting box. It means I can have lovely craft evenings, making things I never would have done otherwise. You could always get one and see what you think *enabler face*
