If you like your cupcakes full-bodied, creamy and satisfying, then I can personally recommend Terraced House Bakery, whose home-made cakes are a ticket to pure indulgence and perfect for celebrations.
I was lucky enough to receive a shipment on my birthday on Wednesday - personally delivered by Sarah, who makes the cakes herself and has a real eye for presentation. I made sure I got a few shots of the cakes before they all disappeared down the proverbial 'hole', but as you can see, one of them didn't quite make it in once piece to the photoshoot...
The cakes themselves are of the melt-in-the-mouth, lightly whipped variety with strong vanilla overtones and are definitely on the sweeter side as cupcakes go (I found that half a cake with my tea was enough to keep me buzzing all afternoon). Each cake comes in a good sturdy foil holder, and you can order one of these pretty presentation boxes for £18.
