Breakfast time: Excellent Eggs

You know how there's always a box that never gets unpacked when you move house? I recently realized that one box didn't even make it to my new home, and it contained all the precious kitchen breakables. Disaster! The only silver lining I can think of is that I get to look for gorgeous new things to replace them.

First mission is the missing egg cups.

My instinct was to look for polka dot ones, a current obsession, and these were my favourites.

Closely followed by these retro melamine gems, which reminded me of the ones my granny had, and they're reasonably priced at £6.99 for four. Available in bright or pastel shades.


Eventually found a winner though - worthy successors to the lost Emma Bridgewater ones. Available from Object of Design, £7.95 for two.
