Cocktail Hour: Rusty Nail

I don't know if you've noticed, but there's something wrong with the weather. It's cold! Really cold actually. So whilst I might feel like frozen margs and drinks with brollies in, the weather just isn't having it. So instead of something summery, here's a rusty nail recipe for you to try out. By the time your hangover subsides, maybe it'll be that little bit warmer outside.

You'll need:
  • 75ml Scotch whisky
  • 25ml Drambuie
  • Lemon twist to garnish (take a potato peeler for your lemon and it'll curl just fine)
Shake it!

Pour the booze into an Old Fashioned glass over ice. Stir well, and garnish with the slice of lemon.

  1. This is one of the world's great cocktails as far as we are concerned. It doesn't even need ice and if you're drinking it to warm up - it's best without. We tend to make it with 2 parts whisky to 1 part Drambuie or even equal measures. Simple yet great. Proves cocktails don't have to be complicated. Try it at home cos staying in is the new going out.
