Writing about a dress I'll never be able to wear is a special form of torture. Despite this embellished flapper dress being totally unsuitable for anyone with hips, it's completely divine. I've spent the last week reading The Great Gatsby and I think I've been inspired by all things jazz. Just hand me a champagne cocktail and take me dancing.
The beading is gorgeous, and it's not just going to come apart after a bit of a shimmy. I've swung this dress around in the shop and it's pretty heavy duty. The nude shade isn't particularly easy to wear, but on the right person this is going to look sensational.

ReplyDeleteTo answer Frances' question - wannabe flappers with hips would wear those highly attractive girdles or long line (but not restrictively boned) corsets beneath their dresses. :)
