Just when I think I've had my fill of nature based patterns, I go and stumble across someone like
Abigail Borg and I fall in love all over again. Abigail's hand-drawn illustrations are so good, I couldn't not. Take for example, this
'Polka Polka' cushion cover.
Pretty, isn't it? It's £39 and you can pay an extra £3 to get a feather filled cushion pad. She's also put her deisgns to good use in a range of A5 sized
fabric covered notebooks. And you know how much we love a pretty notebook to scribble ideas and schemes in. I'd choose this
'Lady Green' one. They're £12 at the moment.
I know it's not Wednesday but it'd be remiss if I didn't tell you Abigail did wallpaper too. I want a wall in my house to have this
Laburnum pattern on it.
Her
wallpaper costs £95 a roll and there's a pattern in colours to match most colour schemes. Abigail's patterns are that fantastic hybrid of retro and modern and it's not just me who loves them. She's worked with Crabtree and Evelyn; The Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew; and Laura Ashley Home which is a fairly impressive client list. Given how ace her work is, I'm expecting to see that list grow and will keep a beady eye out for her lovely illustrations elsewhere.
