Happie Loves It is, as you've probably already guessed, a Japanese-inspired fashion label
They're cute without being cloying, with a giddy skippy feel to everything they make that falls just the right side of twee. I stumbled across their boutique in Covent Garden and somehow managed not to buy all the things. Make a beeline for them if you're in the area, otherwise let's fall headfirst in their online shop.
Sploosh! Like you've spent a lovely afternoon painting in your studio, and come skipping out without a care in the world. This lined cotton dress has side pockets - hooray! - and costs £149. Let's look at some cheaper accessories to wear with it...
...like these owl earrings. I would probably buy anything described as "angry owls". "They'll be happy when they sit on your earlobes!" boldly promises Happie, assuaging customers' fears of having their eardrums pecked out. These furious fellows are £15.
This is a deceptively sensible navy dress. Looks like a smart office dress, right? Hold up - check out the cut-out neckline. You could still work it to work, but definitely skip out to a sexy bar afterwards. It's £139. Not cheap by any means, but their clothes are incredibly high quality. You'll be wearing this for years, assuming you don't spill too many martinis on it.
Keep an eye on the generously stocked sale section for more affordable clothes. This contrast print dress (again, with pockets) has a brilliant bright pop of orange. It's £87.50, down from £125.
These Bambi rings are £13 and come in pretty boxes. Take care of that baby deer - he's been through enough.
Go and rummage through the Happie Loves It website - I guarantee it'll brighten up your day, even if you'll be waiting til payday to invest in your favourite new frock.

Love love love this brand, I have a blouse from years ago that one day I will get back into, one day... otherwise I will just save it for my daughter. It's so original.
ReplyDeleteTheir clothes are wonderful. I hesitate to blog about anything so expensive, but they clearly last FOREVER.
DeleteI remember being really excited when I lost enough weight to buy clothes from happie loves it. I love this store so much (and it is right near The Lowlander - all kinds of ace there)
ReplyDeleteCor, I haven't been to the Lowlander but now I really want their Double Dutch Fries. And their cheese platter. AND THEIR PEACH BEER.
DeleteI'm not the biggest capped sleeve fan, but all of these dresses could change my mind.
ReplyDeleteI'm disproportionately excited about the paint splatter dress.
DeleteThat's so funny - I just went there the other day! I'd never seen it before, but was really excited to check it out. Expensive but awesome. :)
