Shoe porn: Anthropologie leopard print brogues

'Jazzy', that's how my mum would describe these Felidae Oxfords, available from Anthropologie. And she's kind of right. While she'd be trying to politely say she thinks they're a bit too flashy, I'd like to think by wearing them I'd look like I'd stumbled straight out of a beatnik 1950s jazz joint somewhere, hopefully in Paris.

A flight of fashion fancy maybe but these shoes certainly have got a great alternative retro look. There's something special about that fun loving leopard print contrasting with the straight-laced image and shape of the brogue. The flat heel is practical too, perfect should you want to run off and join the counter culture. Pair them with a sloppy jumper and skinny black trousers, and possibly a Jack Kerouac book, and you'll certainly look hip-to-the-beat.
