Cocktail Hour: Chocolate Orange Martini

When Alex S came home with a bottle of Thornton's Chocolate Liqueur, I wanted to play immediately. You could drink it all on its own, but instead I decided to make a chocolate martini. Spying a bottle of Cointreau in the kitchen (the king of all cocktail ingredients), I wondered if we could make a drink that tasted of Terry's Chocolate Orange.

Yes. It turns out you can. Brilliant. This cocktail has a hell of a kick to it, that chocolate liqueur is strong. You could make this is a long milk-based drink if you wanted. Or, instead of chocolate liqeuer, a decent chocolate milkshake would do the trick.

You'll need:
  • 50ml Chocolate liqueur
  • 10ml Cointreau
  • 10ml vodka
  • 10ml Milk
Make it!

Add all the ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice, shake until mixed and then strain into a cocktail glass. We served ours with Eurovision.
