Bravissimo Bathing Suit

I know it's pouring with rain outside. This summery post is largely inspired by the fact I've spent most of the morning looking at holidays so I can run away from the rain. C'mon, daydream with me.

When Frances wrote about swimsuits recently, I mentioned how much I loved Bravissimo's. My body shape means that a size 12 swimsuit will not keep my top half concealed. Swimwear is a bitch when you've got tits. You can't help but feel like they're on display because, well... they are. The Bravissimo range is super flattering because the swimsuits fit properly. Your chest is shown off but you don't feel like you're going to fall out if you jump into a pool or fall asleep on your side while you're sunbathing.

I actually bought this polka dot Monroe swimsuit for a late holiday last year - there was very little point telling you about it in October. But it's a classic shape and pattern so it's still part of their range which means you can get one for yourself for £47. The low cut is low but not too low, the halterneck is sexy and the back is gorgeously deep. It's sexy without being trashy. Frankly, it's one of the best things in my wardrobe.

  1. I'm a big girl up top and it's a nightmare to find nice, flattering yet sturdy swimming costumes.

That one is really pretty, it's shame about the price tag though.

  2. That is a really classic, but gorgeous piece of swimwear - and it Is Swimwear too... not just "lie about on a sunbed pretending you might swim" wear!
I don't have much "up top", but maybe one of these might come in my size... must find out because I love it!

And, like you, I so would like to head off to somewhere warm and sunshiney for a while...

  3. I got this one from Debenhams for my recent holiday: http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_064020632545_-1?breadcrumb=Home~Women~Swimwear+%26amp%3B+beachwear

DD/E CUPS. I have never felt so pretty in a swimsuit in my LIFE.

It's not massively cheaper than the Bravissimo one, but it's just enough to make me not want to vomit.

  4. I don't think it's so pricey if you go on holiday once a year. It's not going to fall apart or get misshapen after splashing about a bit so I reckon I've got a fair few trips away in it, without worrying about finding another one every year. Buying a swimsuit used to be most stressful part of me going on holiday - this seems like a small price to pay.

  5. Completely agree, Siany. If you're 'blessed' (or, as I sometimes say 'cursed') up top you really need to spend around £20 for a basic bra - more for something longer lasting if you're wearing it every single day, or for something prettier. It's natural we pay a bit more for swimsuits too. I do so wish I could pick up some H&M 'triangles' but I'm very happy with my investment this year, courtesy of For Luna. And it will last me many holidays.

  7. I wish I'd paid enough attention to end up on For Luna a couple of weeks ago. Next year, I guess!

me too love this bravissimo swimsuit as it gives your body a perfect shape and it's price is also not high because i can give more for this kind of thing !
