It's no secret that gin is the tipple of choice for many of the Domestic Sluts. And though I personally prefer vodka, I can still see the allure of the Gin Bar in London's Hyde Park.
Launched by the clever eggs behind Serpentine Bar & Kitchen, the 'bar' is basically a 1952 Citroen van overlooking the Serpentine river. Over the summer they will be serving no less than six types of gin, not to mention several gin-based drinks and cocktails - the gin with a dash of elderflower sounds particularly yummy.
They also do a good line in bar snacks, but the real appeal of the Gin Bar is it's simplicity. Sitting by the river with a drink in hand and enjoying the elusive British summer - could there be a more perfect way to spend an afternoon? Just don't forget the sunscreen.
Gin AND daisies. I'm THERE.
ReplyDeleteOh, god... that's worth travelling down from Scotland for... You had me at "Gin"!
ReplyDeleteI heard about this the other week, totally forgot to YAG it.
ReplyDelete*PINCH*.
I do hope 'yag' becomes a regular verb.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds great though dangerously close to my work!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if I can organise a work meeting there...
