As you can probably tell from my posts today, I'm mega excited about change in seasons. It's finally here today, you can feel it. London is blustery, I want to kick up leaves and the only things catching my eye in the shops are snuggly and the colour of Christmas (yeah, I said the C-word). There's something fun about snuggling up in bright things when it's all grey outside. At the moment I'm plotting an Autumn trip to Paris (for pastries, mostly) and pretty though it is, the city can get a bit grey once the light fades and the rain starts. But not inside the Hotel du Secret. Nothing grey and dreary to see here.
Each room has a different Parisian theme. This one is designed to feel like a little artist's studio. Where more artistic than the Paris region of Pigalle where the hotel is located?
You can't possibly have a design hotel in Paris that doesn't nod to the Moulin Rouge. It's the rules. Don't try and fight them.
I'd frankly love to have drinks in this bar. It reminds me of the Purple Bar in The Sanderson in London which is no bad thing. The hotel might be small, but I'm pretty certain this bar will be packed come the evening. Rightly so, it's as gorgeous as the rest of the hotel.
I need to stay here very very soon. Early birthday present?
You'll find Hotel Secret de Paris at 2, rue de Parme - 75009 Paris. There are some special prices on the website at the moment so rooms are €199 per night with a welcome cocktail. Now all I have to do is book that Eurostar - it's just £69 return at the moment.
