Applejack isn't just the name of a My Little Pony, it's is one of the most interesting spirits. It's also one of the most forgotten about. You'll find it in shops with a good booze section. If you've got a think about apples and brandy, it's the perfect tipple. It's popular in secret speakeasy bars and this Jack Rose cocktail dates all the way back to the 1920s.You'll need:
- 70ml Applejack
- 30ml lemon juice
- 2 dashes grenadine
Shake over ice and strain into a martini glass straight up. Then pour another. And maybe just one more for good measure.
