Vintage fabric, knick-knacks and kooky characters are three of my favourite things to find in homeware, and all three combine in Britain-based designer Petra Boase's gorgeous collection.
I don't know whether it's the jolly-looking creatures, the cute use of the word 'love' on some of her designs, or - as Petra herself puts it - the 'English eccentric hotch potch look' of her work, but I'm particularly fond of her pieces because they have that rare day-brightening quality.
Mugs don't often enchant me, but this Love Birds mug is my favourite thing in Petra's collection. The pretty patterns on their bodies match the birds' cheerful disposition, and I reckon £10 is a small price to pay to make my morning cuppa a little more colourful.
The bird theme continues onto this pack of 12 assorted notecards, also £10. The wild mishmash of patterns on the flowers is the best way I can think of to say a happy hello.
Like the notecards, this wrapping paper also comes in packets of 12 and once again is only a tenner. The best kind of wrapping paper is the type you don't want to unwrap, and I can't imagine these winsome colours and chirpy animals finding their way into the bin.
You can find these items along with the rest of Petra's designs on lassothemoon. Perfect browsing for a rainy August afternoon.
OOh they're so cute! My favourite are the notecards... how adorable are they!?
