You don't have to stick to blueberries - basically any fruit that will fit in those little squares will work. Try raspberries or blackcurrants. Even fresh herbs would work a treat. They won't last forever - you should use them within about a month.
I've also learnt that ice is bloody hard to take a photo of. There will be no more of that this week.
You'll need:
- An ice cube tray
- Blueberries - depending on how many ice cubes your tray requires
- Water
Do you really need me to tell you how to do this? One tip, because those blueberries can be floaty little buggers - push them down with your finger and make sure they're totally submerged in the water. Otherwise they explode a bit when they're frozen and don't look nearly as pretty.
These look so pretty, but do they flavour your drinks or do you just end up with a couple of lonely blueberries lurking at the bottom of the glass?
ReplyDeleteYou get a subtle flavour, but it's not going to suddenly make your drink take like blueberry juice. They''d taste great in lemonade.
