
But I'm drawn to this floral chiffon number by ASOS. Granted, I'm too top heavy to have any kind of ruffles around my chest, but I like the tiered shape of this one. Erring on the side of Little House on the Prairie, but in a good way - more elegant hippy than country bumpkin. It's floaty, rather than looking like you're wearing a massive tent. I think I'm coming around to the idea that the only way to do a maxi dress is if it's in a chiffon.
This is one of those dresses that you could throw on when you were late (and didn't have time to shave your legs) and turn up at any event looking fabulous. Yet impressively you won't immediately look like you're going to a wedding, something that's always a danger with long dresses. Not bad for the sixty quid price tag.
