Superbly Spring-Ready Swimsuits!

I'm calling this look SWIMZAG. You can't have it, I got there first.

What's that? "March is far too early to be looking at swimwear, Kat"? Nonsense! You know how I know? Because I've started exercising again, which is always a sure sign that winter is over and lovely spring is just en route, if slightly held up by traffic on the M4.

And swimwear is one of the most fun things to shop for. Honestly - it is. All you need to do is steer clear of badly-lit changing rooms, put down the magazines filled with the models and buy everything online to try at home and then go for a swim in your local pool. My local is Art Deco! I clearly need to go and swan around in it.

MinkPink, the Aussie label responsible for these two stunning designs, is one of those annoying firms whose sizes are universally tiny - a large is a size 12. Wuhhh? - but this is all good news for the petites among you. The Vivienne one piece is available from Urban Outfitters (£70) and the two piece from Asos (was £68, now £47.50).

Wait! Come back! Remember we had exactly the same squabble about bodycon dresses. You totally can (and should) try a plunge-front swimsuit, and particularly one that's this awesome. It's £30 from River Island and comes in sizes 6 to 18.

I SO WANT (if not need) parrots on the bum of an otherwise extraordinarily tasteful black swimsuit. Oh, and cut outs. Love. This Insight Tropico swimsuit is £55, also from ASOS, and goes up to a size 14.
Got a pair of black bikini bottoms that could use tarting up? This super-pretty Changes by Together sequin bikini top is £29 from Figleaves and goes from 34B up to a 42G. Or try this embellished swimsuit. Perfect for emphasising your waist, it comes in sizes 12-22 and costs £39.

I can't resist navy blue, and certainly not if it's also got ruching on the top and a little anchor charm on the bottom! The top is £14 and the anchor bottoms are £9 from Dorothy Perkins (size 6 to 20).

Excellent! All this has made me think I should go and dig out my For Luna black one piece  and have a splash around that pool. Come on spring!

  1. GET YOUR HANDS OFF THAT ZIGZAG BIKINI IT'S MINE. AND ALSO THE PARROT ONE, EVEN THOUGH THERE'S NO WAY MY TITS WOULD STAY IN IT.

    Yours,
