Win! A Filofax organiser with built-in beauty treats
This time of year is all about planning ahead and getting organised - so we've got a prize here that should keep you looking smart and in complete control during 2010 and beyond. The Filofax Beauty Giftbox is your ultimate ally in turning over a new leaf, not only due to its super-efficient layout and classic yuppie-chic looks, but thanks to its exciting and shamelessly girly contents too.
Hidden beneath that businesslike exterior are a compact mirror (perfect for those public transport emergency mascara moments), an atomiser pen to fill with the perfume of your choice and a beauty voucher you can redeem for a hair or beauty treatment worth £100.
How to enter
Before we pick a winner, we want you to comment below, telling us all about your new year's resolution(s) for 2010. We'd love to hear what you plan to do more of, drink less of or make the time for in the new year...just don't go making us feel too guilty, now!
Winners will be selected at random, and you'll get one bonus entry for retweeting this post. And don't forget, if you're looking for more goodies to win, you've still got time to donate to Shelter and win some of our Christmas prizes too. We'll announce all of the winners on Friday.
The small print: The competition will close at midday on 8th January 2010. The winner must live in the UK as well, sorry overseas readers, but them's the breaks. You must also leave a name as well to make sure we know who you are! Domestic Slut may not enter (although we so wish we could!)

I intend to spend a lot more of 2010 making stuff! I have a yarn stash that is attempting to take over the world and the burgeoning start of a fabric stash and as such, one of my resolutions this year is to make more stuff from the materials I already own!
ReplyDeleteStop letting anxiety hold me back and live life to the fullest! (and eat 5 portions of fruit/veg, a litre and half of water a day and cut back on reality tv.. flying pig!)
ReplyDeleteRT'd by @spritneybeers
oh what a lovely prize. My new years resolution is to take off my make up every night! No matter how tired (or drunk) I am.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like an ideal prize for a NY draw! It combines 2 of my major resolutions this year. Last year I spent so much time building my business that I neglected me (a lot!). So along with some others, 2 of my resolutions this year are, 1 organise my time more efficiently, deciding when to stop work & sticking to it (I know it won't be possible ALL the time but ..) 2 make some time for me & pamper myself more!
ReplyDeleteFinger crossed for me winning!!
Fiona

This year i decided that my resolution was to have no resolutions as they never work. I am however going to make a few changes to my lifestyle as the year goes on such as eat healthier. xx
ReplyDeleteBe a little more organised- Read more, run more, travel more and eat/cook more healthily! Jan
ReplyDeleteI *love* this organiser!
ReplyDeleteLike most freelancers, I want to get more efficient and organised, so I can get a bit more of a work/life balance. So that's my NY resolution!
Also, I want to step away from the microwave and actually *gasp* cook from scratch more.
Resolution this year is to get all my yummy mummy friends to join me out on the town more often!!!
ReplyDelete1) Lose weight
ReplyDelete2) To have as many new experiences as possible
3) Learn to appreciate everything that I have and live every day like it's my last
(Have also retweeted as @ohthedecadence)
My New Years resolution is a serious one, I will resume treatment for my Lyme Disease. It's no fun and it takes a loooong time:-(
ReplyDeleteWell my 1st will be to continue losing weight, 4 stone lost last year and I intended to get to my goal this year. The second is to try and not get stressed too much and deal with each situation as it arrives!
ReplyDelete@KellySee
My New Years resoloution, is to exercise more. I have to stop making excuses like A) i m too tired, B)I havnt got the time or C) the day has got a Y in it, lol

ReplyDeletemy new years resolution is to carry on with my healthy lifestyle and see if i can beat the 33lbs i lost last year
http://twitter.com/kohsamui14/status/7362075622
ReplyDeletenews years resolution.. go to the gym
try to keep on top of all my other 'jobs'
I plan to catch up with friends and family this year. Moved a long way from them 2 years ago, and this is the year where I'm going to make sure I visit them!
ReplyDeleteMine is to participate in more cultural events in the land of the Geordie. So much happens here, but it's very easy to get caught up in work and such and miss things. So really, to get organised about participating. And then blog about it all!
ReplyDeleteMine are to figure out how all the gadgets we have work and to make use of them and also to learn how to use all the fabulous make up that I was lucky enough to win last year and to start using it regularly!
ReplyDeleteTo drink more water, to take my dance classes more seriously and to knit more!
ReplyDeleteRT @yoyomarules
My main new years resolution is to see more of my brother and his faily, I often don`t see them because I just don`t get round to it.
ReplyDeleteAlso I need to try stop smoking again, it is really hard to stop.
Oh I have loads of changes I need to make to make my life better, wish me luck x
I am giving up Booze and Bread because I have become festively plump! I am aiming to loose weight because I am going travelling in March for 3 1/2 months with my boy, and there is no way anyone wants to see this in a Bikini. Really need to get organized too as I need to plan Jabs/Visas/Currency?/Moving out...arghh very exciting!!
ReplyDeleteRT @Parrface
Take control, be more organised, stop leaving everything til the last minute. Oh and to leave the house with make up on rather than doing it on the tube every single day....(get some very funny looks!)
ReplyDeleteThe list should be endless, lose weight, be kinder, shout less at my 3 girls, cook more, relax more, accesorise more, enjoy the moments more, be more crafty....I could go on!
ReplyDeleteRT@boranpolska
I'm determined to cut down on the choccie this year - I'm a self-confessed chocaholic & it's the main reason I've put on so much weight.
ReplyDeleteThis year, I am going to make some realistic resolutions - so giving up wine is out of the question! However, I am going to try and live healthier by swimming twice a week and limiting my chocolate intake to one treat size chocolate bar rather than three.
ReplyDeleteI am also going to write a book...
RT @cocktailpr
I'm going to lose the weight I put on last year, take much better care of my skin and try my hardest to get back to work after 8 years at home bringing up my two boys, oh and I might try and keep on top of the ironing!!
ReplyDeleteMy plan for 2010 is to sort out my kids' sleeping problems - I haven't had much sleep for the last 3 years and is causing major problems for all the family now! That, and to be more organised and creative...
ReplyDeleteMy new year's resolutions are to eat breakfast every morning, take my make up off every night before bed & to keep a list of every book I read this year (as I am such a fast reader I always forget what I've read a few months later!).
ReplyDeleteWOW, amazing prize thanks!
ReplyDeletemy resolution is to control my road rage - its starting to worry my kids, so i'll be working really hard to control it!
This year I will get a job, get my car back and start living life rather than exsisting!
ReplyDelete@raverminx
My New Year's Resolution is to read at least one book a week in the hope of clearing the piles of unread paperbacks that are cluttering up my study.
ReplyDeleteResolutions are to say NO mare often and stop letting people take advantage of me.
ReplyDeleteAlso buy less and make more!
I need to sort out my finances - stop asking my Mum to bail me out.
ReplyDeleteMy New Years Resolution is to do more of what I want, whether this be drinking, eating, gyming, shopping or dating. Essentially doing whatever I want.
ReplyDeleteI also intend to get involved with at least one volunatry project and have already applied to do some mentoring with young people.
What a nice bundle! My intention this year is to incorporate BALANCE into my life - less is more, and all that. I have a tendency to put all my energies into one thing at a time, and I really need to even it all out. Plus eat a more balanced diet and drink less. And be more organised, so this would be perfect :)
ReplyDeleteWill retweet as requested!
My new year resolutions will be...
ReplyDelete* To be more creative, I plan to make at least
2-3 new things a week and finish old projects.
* To be more social and to keep in contact with people I like.
* To make more of an effort.
Use more makeup, work on vintage hair styles, experiment with eye shadows and such.
I should also start wearing my vintage clothes a
bit more often.
For many years I’ve not bothered with NY resolutions – I usually say (if asked) that I’m giving up smoking (having never smoked), as it’s a guaranteed resolution success. This year action is needed: for too long I’ve been fed up and frustrated at work and really I know I need to be my own boss. So, I’m looking into business courses with a view to starting up on my own and fulfilling my dream to move back home to the south west. I think I might need the filofax to help organise this!! Happy New Year to all at DomSluttery HQ xxx
ReplyDeleteRT as @slenderframe
I plan to keep on booking more weddings so I can quit the day job and do what I love! Also want to lose a stone, run more and be more positive, appreciate every day
ReplyDeletemy new year resolutions will be to spend less money, talk less on the phone, do more work and lose some weight. ideally would love to say 'i love you' to the people i love more often too :)
ReplyDeleteRT @koey666
My new years resolution is to try and cut myself as much slack as I do everyone else, as my health isn't so good and I need to accept that getting cross about not being able to be perfection at everything isn't helping!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year by the way - so lovely to have you back, a little ray of sunshine in the grey return to work!
I intend to enjoy life more and not get bogged down with the routine. Happy New Year Xx
ReplyDeleteNot so much a resolution but a completely new experience for me - I will becoming a new mum! So I am hoping I can be the best mum I can be for my newborn come April. Am very excited but also quite scared at times!
ReplyDeleteTo start living my life for me a bit more, instead of trying to please everyone else and making myself miserable. Slightly weird resolution then, but it's to be a bit more selfish!
ReplyDeleteDo more yoga, spend more time with family and friends. Enjoy my free time more!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a perfect prize.
ReplyDeleteMy new year resolution nr one is to finish my book, nr two - continue Wii-ng everyday - I got Wii Fit Plus in my stocking, and love it.
My resolutions are; to keep myself looking and feeling good, by going to the gym and by dressing in a way which makes me smile, rather than just pulling on whatever's clean and convenient; to achieve things, both on my PhD (which I just started three months ago) and for myself, by doing some work on my novel (I've four or five chapters in but haven't written anything for ages), trying new recipes, and being open to new experiences; and to work on relationships with friends (I moved to a new town to start my PhD, so I want to make sure I keep in close touch with the friends I left behind, and meet new people here).
ReplyDeleteResolutions:
ReplyDelete1) Lose weight
2) Be more organised with the million scattered bits of paper aroung the house
3) Sell or freecycle things I haven't used in 12 months...
Hm...I have promised my boyfriend to stop poking him awake! But let's see how that goes...he's so grumpy in the morning and I'm so alive...it's so much fun :P
ReplyDeleteGet off the computer, do at least one GOOD picture a day and post it, 3 big knitting projects, and to bake more vegan wheat free stuff. So, yeah, not much :-D
ReplyDeleteThis year is one of two halves for me - the first half is all about getting fit and thinner so I can complete the Moonwalk in a good time and in good health in May. The second half is about family planning - going to pull out all the stops to get pregnant this year as I am not getting any younger. Also going to do more knitting, sewing and make good use of my sugar thermometer. Really optimistic about 2010 so jumping in with both feet.
ReplyDeleteThis year is going to be a big one for me - I finally start my cake business full time after taking redundancy from the full time job at Christmas. So my resolution is to give it my all and really try and make a splash in the cake world of Nottingham! Wish me luck x
ReplyDeleteWow, perfect new years prize!
ReplyDeleteMy resolutions are less takeaways, more cocktails, and complete the Guardian cryptic crossword every Monday (the easiest one of the week!)
P.S. Will be retweeting as @maggiebob
Resolutions:
ReplyDeleteCarry on losing weight. I was 17 stone, am now 16 stone.
Ride a red route on my mountain bike. I'm currently on sort of red routes which really aren't. Need to learn to drop and jump properly.
Go up a grade in rock climbing from 4 to 4a.
Go for a 30 min walk every other evening.
Volunteer for more stuff. I've already volunteered to be a mountain bike race marshal and to be on a festival fan forum representing green issues. I want to stop complaining and start trying to make a difference somewhere, no matter how small.
@loulouk
My resolutions for 2010 are to take my self-image related depression in hand and change my life, starting from creating a healthy core, to developing a polished surface. And then, once the overhaul is complete, I'm going to change my career and my life, by re-training in a worthwhile career, rather than working for a series of corporate machines.
ReplyDeleteIt's all doable. I'm ready for the challenge.
2010 for me is all about having fun and getting into crafts. 2009 was too much of a dull and low year so I'm determined to make 2010 mine! I've decided to get back on the yoga regime, sign up for some burlesque classes and try my hand at some knitting and crocheting. I also need to make more friends in London so I'm not stuck at home all the time, and that Filofax looks like the perfect way to get my resolutions in gear ;)
ReplyDeleteMy resolution is to get things done and not put things off or forget about them, an organiser might just help!
ReplyDeleteI have not bothered with the obvious - give up smoking, drink less, watch what I eat...boring and unrealistic! Instead, I resolve to have more 'me time'. My 2 year old daughter is my world, and I've kinda forgotten who I am! That needs fixing. Would love this organiser to plan my new action packed life in :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to find the surface of my desk, and keep it visible - without just transferring everything onto the floor!
ReplyDeleteMine is to eat 5 a day, everyday.
ReplyDeleteMine is to get organised! New house, new job, new degree, all starting this year, and I'm currently using so many post it notes to keep track of them they end up all over the house and I wake with them stuck to me!
ReplyDeleteThis year is is going to be the year of change...
ReplyDelete1) I'm going to lose all the weight I put on when I went to uni by cutting out all the take aways and especially bread!!
2) I've been engaged for a year now so I'm going to start doing some really hard saving and start planning (for which that gorgeous organizer would be perfect!!)
3) I'm going to start believing in myself. I don't do it anywhere near as much as I should and it's important for us girlies to take care of ourselves!!
4) I'm always saying I want to be more creative so I want to start making my own clothes, and also make a couple of blankets for my gorgeous baby cousins!
And as always lastly to enjoy life to the fullest!!
(Also retweeted by @SianyLou88)
Eat and shout less and exercise more!!
ReplyDeleteGet my BMI down under 30 (for a start!), blog every day even if it is only a sentence, and paint my living room cream! I'm into practical, measurable resolutions this year!
ReplyDeleteThis year, I'm going to make more time to spend with my kids, by being more organised with my mountains of laundry and housework. And to spare a little time for me.
ReplyDeleteOh, and spend time with my new niece/nephew - due any day now!!!
Love my wee girls more every day!!
ReplyDeleteEat less, move more.
Be more creative.
Leave the car at home as much as possible.
Oooh what a lovely prize!
ReplyDeleteWell I'm planning to
1) Always go for a walk at lunchtime to get some fresh air and excercise
2) Stop reading gossip websites which just rot my brain and start reading more interesting things on the net
3) To make more use of living in Lovely London Town by finding out the fab things going on here
:-)
The traditional one: To lose weight. The BF and I stuffed ourselves over Christmas. Oops! To make it more fun, we've made it competitive - the one who loses the most each week gets to offload one of their household chores on the other.
ReplyDeleteNow, a more fun one: I plan to go back into education. OK, that might not SOUND fun to most people, but I have resolved to make 2010 the beginning of the rest of my life. Cheesey, yes, but there we are!!
Had a pretty crummy year last year, but we've resolved this year to "not be at home to Mr Bad-luck" :)
Declutter some more so I cn get down to the more interesting stuff and to get to do that ...... stop procrastinating!!!
ReplyDeleteTo take the dog for a proper walk every day regardless of the weather or how tired I am - she deserves it and I need it for the flab :)
ReplyDeleteMy New Years resolutions are to do things NOW not LATER and to grow up because I'm thinking of dropping out of university and quite frankly the idea terrifies me. I will have to jump head first into the real world after being wrapped in cotton wool for so long. Eep!
ReplyDeleteKayleigh, Glasgow.
I'm planning on making myself financially independent by opening my own photography business, daunting but with time and effort I’ll get there!!!
ReplyDeleteI want to be more productive this year and make myself find time to do creative things and make jewellery. I'd like to be ready to do my first craft fairs by the end of the year too!
ReplyDeleteone i can keep- buy a lovely new set of underwear each month- a sure fire way to feeling good. I did this with dresses last year and here I am in posession of twelve new outfits a year later!
ReplyDeleteOoooh i so want one of these...first resolution is to get more oranized!!!
ReplyDeleteI also plan on eating more healthily and living in the now, not obbsessing over the past or thinking about the future its all about today baby!!!
Keeping it simple with two things:
ReplyDelete1) get some real sunshine
2) this one is less likely to succeed: keep one phone for a whole year :)
thank god for paper diaries!
Be a little more organised- Read more, more fun, travel more and eat/cook more healthily!
ReplyDelete1)Be more organised
ReplyDelete2) Clean the house more offen
my new years resolution is to have more sex! thought i'd make this years resolution a fun one
ReplyDeleteI intend to treat myself in the same manner I treat others (respectful, thoughtful, encouraging and loving). I should have a brilliant year in 2010.
ReplyDeleteI will not bore my boss by with the same excuse for taking leave. I will think of some more excuses.
ReplyDelete2010 is "Operation: Get New Job". One that will allow me to continue the life I've become used to (though hopefully a little less broke) and not involve being on-call with the net result of having more time to be a complete Domestic Slut.
ReplyDeleteMy New Years Resolution is to be tidy, and stay tidy! My lovely boyfriend has put up with my slovenly ways for long enough, and I fear that soon he’ll kick me out for a younger, slimmer and much more organised model! Right so where’s my duster…?
ReplyDeleteI'm all about having new experiences so this year I shall be spending at least a month travelling. I shall also be changing career and moving abroad in the summer. :)
ReplyDeleteMy New Years Resolution, to make more time to see my friends ~ life is too short!
ReplyDeleteI plan on spending more quality time with my children and not my laptop! Ironic really that I'm on here now
ReplyDeleteMy main resolution this year is to stop making an effort with people who obviously don't care about me or my opinions. I have a large band of acquaintances who I would consider more of a friend than that, but who just don't see me the same way. It upsets me when I make an effort and they can't even be bothered to shrug me off! So no more! I can take the hint, and I'd rather make efforts in other directions :)
ReplyDeleteSecondly, this IS the year that I lose some weight and tone up. I'm fed up with wearing jeans in the summer and trawling the shops for below-knee length dresses in the winter. I don't have a great amount to change, but this year I will learn to say no to snacks and yes to exercise.
Clothes, tidyness and my pit of a bedroom come third. I have a wardrobe full of things I don't wear, so there's no room for the things I do. It's a mess and I won't do it any more! Sunday is my next free day so I'll be organising, readying bags for charity and ebay and enjoying a tidy and decluttered room for the first time in months.
Happy new year!
Everyone is getting knocked up!
ReplyDeleteFour of my wonderful friends are having babies this year with the first Baby Shower starting in February. Below is the centre piece for the first quilt.
My resolution is to make them all patchwork quilts. It's taken me over two months to get the first one near completion so I better pick up the pace before they drop.
Being that they all love in different cities I could sure use a new filofax to help me stay organised on my travels round the country!
Katia Wengraf
katia . wengraf at googlemail com
I am going to say no to other people and yes to myself more often, I have realised that I've been spreading myself far too thin. Even better, my best friend is getting married next year and I have resolved to properly learn to decorate wedding cakes so I can make hers!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to feel the fear... and do it anyway! Roll on 2010 I'm sooo excited!!! Already started by putting my creative talents into hand-crafted cards woop woop!!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitley going to loose weight using my new bike and to also not worry worry until worry worries me!!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to learn to drive this year so I can take the kids out more. I'm also going to be nicer to the dog!!
ReplyDeletemy resolution this year is to get healthier and lose a couple of stone (and put it back on again next Christmas haha) and also to try and gain more confidence in myself and put myself forward more. Ultimately I want to be happier in myself
ReplyDeleteI never win your competitions...that's my resolution. To win a Domestic Sluttery competition before the end of the year. Only YOU can make it come true now (and i'd rather like it to be this one as i need a filofax for keeping my life organised and things)
ReplyDeleteRT hours ago now @Liz_Sara
I have lots of resolutions. :S Procrastinate less... pass my driving test...
ReplyDeleteI think my biggest resolution is to try to make the absolute best of situations/opportunities and to try to create those opportunities by being braver about trying new stuff. There!
My resolution is to have no resolutions......take the pressure off and you can achieve a lot more, its worth a try.
ReplyDeleteMy resolution this year is to win more prizes in competitions. On a serious note, I would like to do more exercise and walking.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to give up soft drinks. Its really hard :(
ReplyDeleteI intend to spend the New Year not covered in babysick, actually looking in the mirror before I leave the house and getting dressed before noon. Perhaps it's a bit of a stretch to expect that I might get to have lunch every day and actually get some housework done but why not aim high!
ReplyDelete2010 is a new year and the beginning on of a new life for me. Recently divorced and a new homeowner, my resolution is simply to live strong and enjoy each new day. No looking back. I hope to passionately embrace the future, no matter what.
ReplyDeleteMy new year resolution is to wear less black to work. I think its part of what depresses me so much about my working day. I'm also going to take lots of healthy snacks to the office so when those bored/angry/stress munchies, I don't hit the chocolate first. Oh and get a new job -that will get rid of both problems.
ReplyDeleteI have all of the usual ones (try to get fitter, try to be a better mummy etc) but the one i am looking forward to most is 'to have fresh flowers in the house every day of the year'
ReplyDeletewhether they are flowers i have grown, picked or bought, i am going to have flowers in my house because flowers always cheer me up and make my house look more pretty
Ok.
ReplyDelete1. I'm going to learn how to drive - I was meant to get that done in 2009!
2. drop a dress size to fit into a bridesmaid dress for a wedding at the end of May (i dropped 2 dress sizes in 2009!)
3. learn how to quilt to sew up a wedding quilt for the wedding above (using material from the wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, her mother's and sister's dresses).
4. try not to get addicted to the wii I got for Christmas!!
good luck everyone else (with their new years resolutions, not the competition!) Esther
I am trying to be more positive/glass half full instead of empty! Not working so far though!
ReplyDelete- Get back onto the Counselling course I had to quit to look after family
ReplyDelete- Be a regular at the gym again, instead of my local Pret :)
- Get my WFTDA minimums and skate name registered :D
My new years resolution is to find a job I love and seek a better work life balance. I am putting the emphasis on LIFE!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy new years resolution is to save some money for a deposit for a little place of my own to share with my handsome boyfriend. It will be our first place together and we're hoping to buy at the end of the year. So less of most things for me this year, but I am sure it will be worth it.
ReplyDeleteto spend more time with my family just doing all the little things that normally get left for lack of time
ReplyDeleteto appreciate what I have got, spend more time doing fun things with my kids and not stressing over work....here's hoping!
ReplyDeleteto finally decorate the hall after 3.5 years and to slow my worrying brain down to a murmer...
ReplyDeleteMy new year's resolution is to make it to roller derby practice 100% of the time. Its way to easy to let life get in the way of fun and I can't wait to change that :-)
ReplyDeleteNot to let my weight get me down too much and and not get back my agrophobia!
ReplyDeleteMy new years resolution is to look after myself more and have a healthy diet as I have just found out that I am pregnant after a year of trying and my partner and I are really excited.
ReplyDeletemy new year resolution is to get fitter. currently skiing for a week downloaded excerises to do 4 weeks prior to coming did them twice!!! now after daqy 1 wishing that i was fitter and did the excercises hindsight is truly a beautiful thing!
ReplyDeletemy new years resolution is to start a family
ReplyDeleteMy NY resolution is to start experimenting with make-up and not wear the same old, same old colours every flipping day!
ReplyDeleteMy new year's resolution is to become accomplished in a slightly updated version of the Jane Austen style definition of the word. I want to be able to dance, bake, cook, speak another language and generally look fabulous while doing it all.
ReplyDeleteMy new year's resolution is to not make any more new years resolutions
ReplyDeleteTo do less things at a time , & do them better!
ReplyDeleteMy NY resolution is to set a good example to my two darling daughters on eating the right things and having a good healthy lifestyle
ReplyDeleteI've not long taken up jogging and enjoying it. The liberation and feeling afterwards is exhilarating. New year's resolution is to compete in a mini-marathon. Wish me luck (as hubby laughed when I told him).
ReplyDeleteInstead of putting "jobs to do" on little piles, do them straight away and be organised. I tend to leave things like sewing, answering mail, paying bills etc in neat piles but I am always fearful that one day I will come home and won't be able to get in the door!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI resolve to get myself out to Spain permanently...get writing and enjoy life a bit more. How big the removal van is going to have ot be to fit all my books in, god alone knows!
ReplyDeleteDeborah
Take more time out for myself
ReplyDeleteI intend to plan two weekends of fun things for each month of the year. A mix of cheap and off the beaten path and extravagant once in a lifetime opportunities. You only live once after all.
ReplyDeleteeat more fruit and veg and to lose a stone
ReplyDeleteto declutter my house
ReplyDeleteMy 2010 resolution is to stop burying my head in the 'sand' of paperwork and actually get organised so i don't have to go through the last minute panic and stress of meeting my targets!!
ReplyDeleteMy 2010 resolution is to stop burying my head in the 'sand' of paperwork and actually get organised so I don't have to go through the last minute panic and stress of meeting my targets for work and home!!
ReplyDeleteI must lose some weight.
ReplyDeleteI really must lose some weight.
In my dreams, I resolve to:
ReplyDelete1. dine in fabulous restaurants every evening
2. meet, date (& eventually marry) a rock star
3. land a leading role in a major hollywood film
4. stack my wardrobe with designer togs
but on reflection, it might be best to aim a bit lower and:
1. chill out and stop shouting so much
2. stop devouring an entire 100g bar of chocolate every time I plan to have just a few squares
3. ring my mum and dad for a proper chat at least once a week
4. help out my little garden visitors by putting up a bird feeder and remembering to refill it all year long.
My new years resolution is to BLOG BLOG BLOG! I'm pregnant at the moment and I want to record every last detail to remember for ever.
ReplyDeleteMy New Year's Resolution is to be more spontaneous and to grab opportunities. I think I shall re-read 'Yes Man' by Danny Wallace for inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLJ URL is http://darth_tigger.livejournal.com - for some reason it won't let me post here under that so I've had to go Anonymous!
My new years resolution is to stop biting my nails and to stop swearing!!
ReplyDeleteBollocks to resolutions. I just want that filofax ;)
ReplyDeleteThis year, I am going to be solvent. I blooming well am!
ReplyDeleteMy new years resolution is to stop entering competitions in 2010
ReplyDeleteI want to be healthier so eating better, going to the gym and swimming and walking more and to try and be positive and know that 2010 will be a good year!
ReplyDeleteI dont make New Year resolutions but things I'd like to focus on in 2010 are:
ReplyDeleteFind a new job that I actually enjoy!
Get back in the habit of going to the gym.
Pay off credit card and save some money this year.
(I'm @popple79 on Twitter)
My new years resolution is to try my best not to moan about other people and accept that we are all different and have different opinions and thats what makes the world interesting.
ReplyDeleteMy Resolution is the huge cliche of losing weight I put on 2 stone in 2009 and would like to get back down to my 10st weight.
ReplyDeleteI've also decided to appreciate my darling husband and stop taking him for granted.
Also remember people's birthdays!! which i'm awful at so an organiser would be wonderful
To lose some weight and do more exercise so I can look glam before I get too old!
ReplyDeleteAlso to spend more time with my son before he gets old.
@ali991
This year I am determined to cook more meals from scratch using good ingredients - and to stop buying cheap, ready made meals all the time
ReplyDeleteTo spend as much time with my first time grandchild that was born on January 2nd my little grandson weighed 5lb 8oz named Vinnie he is just so adorable.
ReplyDeleteTo get more active and walk the dogs more frequently. I need to lose some weight and develop a more positive outlook and spend more quality time with my family.
ReplyDeleteTo spend less money and try and save enough to go on holiday!
ReplyDeleteTo lose two stone, pay off half my debt, write more and become more organised!
ReplyDeleteI want to lose a stone by 14th February.
ReplyDeleteI resolve to stop procrastinating... erm, quite so much! I resolve to be braver, to say the things I want to say and do the things I know I can and not to worry about the rest.
ReplyDeleteLife is too short. I found that out last year. 2010 will hopefully see me being more organised!
Last year I stopped smoking - haven't had a cigarette for 9 months, now. I'm really proud of that. I need to loose a bit of weight, I need to do all sorts of things, but I'm not going to beat myself up about it. I'm sick of doing that.
I say we should all eat cupcakes and have a G&T and look back at the things we are already proud of, too! :)
My new years resolution is to stop making resolutions and instead make different changes gradually throughout the year
ReplyDeleteI find that I and most people cant keep to them at the begining of january.
My resolution is to say yes more often and stop making excuses not to do things!
ReplyDeleteSo it's a new year and a fresh start, lovely! I resolve to eat healthier and do more exercise. I WILL grow my own fruit and vegetables this year. All that decorating I have been putting off will definately get done in 2010! I promise to get to work on time and will be nice to everyone when I get there. Last but not least I must clear that debt i've been racking up for the last 10 years....2010 WILL be my year!
ReplyDeleteMy new years reolution is not to worry so much! I'am 22 weeks pregnant with my first baby, and worry about everything. We have a dog- i even worry when she drinks too much water. Need to calm down!!
ReplyDeleteeat less move more
ReplyDeleteeat less move more?
ReplyDeleteI recently lost a dog I grew up with, so my resolution is to make every moment with my own labrador count :)
ReplyDeleteMy resolution for 2010 is to try to change my lifestyle to a much healthier one and to be a little wiser with my money
ReplyDeleteMy new years resolution is to get chickens. I keep telling everyone who'll listen how much I want them, so this year I'm gonna get myself some chucks!
ReplyDeleteI intend to make more of myself instead of slobbing around so that I can feel good.
ReplyDeleteI am going to try even harder for a baby if that is possible. Less drink and give up the cigs for a start :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to start reading domesticsluttery without spending money! Failed so far but having another go....entering competitions helps too, free stuff has to help. Happy New Year ladies.
ReplyDelete1. Stop forgetting/being dreadfully late at remembering birthdays
ReplyDelete2. Pay off my credit card before the end of March
3. Don't allow bad drivers to wind me up so much on the work run
4. Do my career assessment and plan my professional future (stay where I am? Or total retraining?)
That should keep me going I think ;)
I plan to test my creative skills to the max this year. Instead of buying gifts for people, I intend to make them beautiful, meaningful gifts, full of thought and crafted with my own fair hands.
ReplyDeleteI have a lot to achieve this year, so my New Year's resolutions include: losing weight before getting married in May, not crying during the wedding (I'm like that girl in Four Weddings and A Funeral who says "I love you, I don't know who you are but I love you" when I've had a few so Heaven help me during the ceremony. Waterproof mascara is required!), trying not to take things so personally and letting more water run off this duck's back, finding a new job that doesn't stress me out or keep me from making it to evening engagements on time and continuing an old resolution of using up my change instead of letting it gather dust in a big jar that then weighs a tonne when I finally take it to the bank. Finally, I want to find that inner calm that somewhere I lost along the road to adulthood. Meditation, perhaps?
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to everyone! And keep up the good work. These competitions really make you think. For the first time all my resolutions are in one place.
My resolution is to be the best I can in all areas of my life x
ReplyDeleteMy resolution is to read and finish a book before I buy another!! Far too many books in my bedroom that are still unread!
ReplyDeleteMy New Year's Resolutions are
ReplyDelete1-To think about others more
2-To be tidier!
My resolution is to plan and pace and achieve
ReplyDeleteI plan to refresh my German!
ReplyDeleteI intend to complete 101 things in 1001 days (google Day Zero Project for info on this fab idea!).
ReplyDeleteThat'll be my new years resolutions for the next 3 years sorted!
My resolution is to do some form of exercise everyday, even if its just 20 minutes on the wiifit.
ReplyDeleteI plan to clear my house of all the clutter and recycle/freecycle where possible.
ReplyDeleteI plan to organise myself more and to constructively use my spare time to benefit me, take time our and relax.
My resolution is to be less stressed and grumpy lol. I need to loosen up a bit!
ReplyDeleteHopefully to lose the last of the baby (now 2!) weight, and to cook meals from scratch and attempt to keep the house relatively tidy!
ReplyDeleteStop spying on my teenager and learn to trust her more.
ReplyDeleteI am determined to lose 3 stone this year. I have recently gone back to the job I love - nursing. I won't feel comfortable discussing weight issues with patients when I'm sitting looking like Hattie Jacques from Carry on Doctor!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to learn French, Italian, and Swedish to a conversational standard by the end of the year.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge fan of resolutions, but in 2010 I would very much like to record some tracks with my band Witness To The Beard
ReplyDeleteTo save enough money to travel for the whole of 2011 :)
ReplyDeleteNo more photographs of me with cocktails, champagne, pints or shots in my hand. Enough is enough.
ReplyDeleteI'm cutting out dairy as it keeps my IBS under control and helps keep me trim
ReplyDeleteGoing to try and take Margot Leadbetter the VW Camper Van out on more excursions. Because she's worth it.
ReplyDeleteTo loose some weight! I've been very bad over the Christmas break! Lol
ReplyDeleteMorrisons Buy one get 2 free on Chocolate Oranges has been very bad for me! Lol
