Tea Towel Tuesday: First tea, then milk, then sugar
Argue with me as much as you like, but in Sluttery HQ there is no other way to make tea. We don't put the milk in first here and it seems that designer Kangan Arora agrees with me. You can buy this wonderful tea towel for just £9 from the even more wonderful Howkapow, and leave it hanging up as a (somewhat passive aggressive) reminder to the others in your house. Tea. Milk. Sugar.
Unless of course you disagree. In which case, you and I will have to go out for drinks instead.

My family have unwritten rules of tea making. It is ALWAYS milk then sugar then teapot-brewed tea! My granddad swears he can tell if someone puts the sugar in before the milk as well.
ReplyDeleteI always stir anti-clockwise. I don't know why, just do. (Obviously I don't care if anyone else does this, but I always do it.)
ReplyDeleteI think it's sugar then tea and milk last because you're never sure how strong the tea will be and I prefer strong tea. That said it's a pretty tea towel and would provoke debate when you had friends and family around!
ReplyDeletetea, sugar, milk.
ReplyDeleteyep.
Always milk last.
ReplyDeleteSugar, tea, milk. In that order. Always. Any other way is just weird. So there ;)
ReplyDeleteBut still, always last with the milk.
ReplyDeleteno, lovely ladies! It's lemon.
