Gillian Blease administers such lemon aid with her retro food-inspired illustrations. Her designs include this tray which has to be the tastiest way to serve your pancakes this Shrove Tuesday.

They're for sale through Jenny Duff, with each colourful design available at every sort of size: from a coaster for £4.95 up to £27.95 for a large round tray. And with further images of oranges and quinces, lemons are not the only fruit she features either. For those with more varied palettes, she's also got images of chickpeas, panettone or even clafoutis so, needless to say, there's a tray for every possible occasion. Just think, come the long awaited sunshine, your citrus tray will double up for a nice ice cool serving of lemonade too.
