Food Ado: artisan foodie shopping

You already know we're fans of Etsy here on Domestic Sluttery, because it's a great place to find unique products from individual artists and producers, at a range of prices.
Ok, it's also a fantastic place to dawdle away hours, particularly on a short work day - it's the best time-suck ever.

FoodAdo is a similar concept to Etsy, but it's all about top-quality food and drink. It's an online market place for small producers and businesses - the kind of vendors who sell at farmers markets or through local small outlets.

There are all kinds of produce and a great range of foodie gifts. Friendly Food and Drink's Chilli Gift Pack is £10 and includes Tomato and Chilli Sauce, Hot Chilli Mustard and Chocolate and Chilli Curd.

Stock up with Watergull Orchards's Variety Surprise case of mixed apple juices, £28.96. They're made from traditional apple varieties like Bramley, Laxton Fortune and Russet.

You'll also find Damian Allsop's astoundingly Plain Dark Water-Based Truffles. They're made with water instead of cream, so they have a lighter taste and just as much flavour as traditional goodies. They would also make a thoughtful gift for anyone who can't have dairy. The truffles are £7.50 for 20, and his White Chocolate Passionfruit and Mint CDs are £3.75.

FoodAdo has just established itself online so expect to see even more producers coming on board soon. Cheese, chocolates, chutneys and more!
