Wallpaper Wednesday: Brian Yates

This Brian Yates Brocante wallpaper from Tangle Tree is just stunning. It's been designed by the very pretty Pip Studios. I love old botanical books and used to spend hours reading them. This wallpaper reminds me of those. It would look lovely as a feature wall, but also in a hallway as well. It's pale enough to not be too garish, but there's nothing boring about it.

Here's a close up:

The bad news? The design is £130 (and it's not clear if that's for a roll, or the design and area above). It's a pricey option. Maybe I'll cut up all of my mum's old books and get crafty with the Pritstick.

  1. Yeah, that's amazing. I reeeeaally want it! Need to redecorate my room so I want a feature wall. Tres expensive though, don't see how I could afford it!

  2. Take a look at the wallpaper tag - there's bound to be something in there a little cheaper, but still good for a feature wall. And if you're really on a budget, a lick of paint and a fancy wall sticker will work just as well.

  3. WOAH!

As pricey as it is, you would have to opt for pretty plain furniture and few other ornaments. That is what I'm saying.

  4. I don't like it when something like this is amazing and everyone says they can cut up stuff and do it themselves (not suggesting anyone here have said that) -which is true - you can do it yourself but you never do - and if you do do it, the prit stick will last a month and it'll all come falling off and you'll end up looking like you live in a squat!

This would be fantastic on one strip of small wall - I think it looks so beautiful - its definately worth the money - and adds to a feature of a room that you can be really proud of having. You know - like having a really nice pair of shoes!

    Love Leluu xxxx

  5. I agree! I was being tongue-in-cheek when I wrote that, but maybe it sounded flippant. I'd never do it. People rarely do.

So much work has gone into this design, it's very very pretty :-)

  6. Hey Siany - yes, realised you were : )
Just in my boutique, so many people say - "you can make that" - especially when I used to sell pretty wall paper like this!

Have paid £80 per roll for wall paper before - love wall paper - makes such a difference to your life!

Thanks for bringing this bit of inspiration to my life today - would like to redecorate now
