I'm not a big vodka drinker. I rarely have any in the house, my favourite cocktails don't call for it and if I need something for drinkies, I'm more likely to reach for the gin (there's no way to type that sentence without sounding like a giant lush). But, some of my favourite cocktails whipped up my my favourite bar are the ones with vodka in. So I thought I'd try out a few more vodka-based tipples.
This Russian Standard Gold cocktail sounds fantastic. I love iced tea in the summer and this sounds like a really interesting twist on the classic drink. And I happen to have all of those ingredients in my cupboard.
You'll need:- 45ml Russian Standard Gold
- 60ml peach puree
- 90ml strong black tea
- 15ml honey syrup (just mix some honey with some warm water)
- 15ml lemon juice
Shake it! Add everything to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain, garnishing with a slice of white peach and crushed ice.
Right, I'm off to buy a bottle of vodka.
Oooh - this looks really different!
