Tea Towel Time: Dupenny 50s Housewives

You might remember that we showed you some wonderful wares from Dupenny a while back. Yup, if these glamorous illustrations look familiar, it's because we've previously featured their pin-up printed wallpaper and burlesque-emblazoned cushions. But since you must know by now our love of retro scantily-clad ladies, we couldn't resist showing your Dupenny's brand new tea towel range:

This little lady, the aptly-named Peggy, demonstrates the kind of distressing wardrobe malfunctions that can happen all too easily when putting out the washing. We always knew there was a reason we made so many excuses not to do it, and know we know why - it's a minefield of accidental knicker-flashing possibilities!
And as taken as I am with this rather ravishing vision, I'm not sure I'd splash out on it, because it would only make me look even more slobby in comparison, not doing the washing up and roaming about the house in my pyjamas. Or maybe I should invest in it and hope it encourages me to break out the frilly pinny and seamed stockings more often? We can but hope.

Each tea towel is hand screen-printed in the UK onto high-quality linen, and they can be yours for £12 each from Dupenny.
