The weather has been worse than rainy and miserable lately - it's been positively post-apocalyptic. The temptation to call in sick and hide under the covers rather than schlep into work and slowly drip-dry all morning has been almost overwhelming.This Lulu Guinness umbrella is rapidly becoming a must-have for me - not just to keep me dry, but also to entice me out of the door when I'm convinced I'll be washed away by storms. I love that she's taken the birdcage shape literally and adorned it with a birdcage print and exotic bird, and that silver handle is an elegant touch. It's £32 from Lulu Guinness's online shop, but just £29 (with free delivery) from Amazon. Pricier than the cheapy ones I end up grabbing in Boots, but as one of the Amazon reviewers says, it's an investment in happiness.
Oh wow - WANT! And actually, this is the perfect Christmas present for a friend of mine - (just have to check she hasn't already got it). That's a very good price too. Absolute winner.
