Dream Dress: Cream Oasis Floral Dress
Last week, Sara mentioned that she'd fallen out of love with Oasis (actually, she compared them to a dowdy Sienna Miller circa 2003). And I was inclined to agree with her, they have been missing the mark recently. Until this embroidered dress. I think even Sara might be won over by this number.
I love that it's simple and elegant all at once. The t-shirt shape stops it from looking a little bit too weddingy. Looking like a runaway bride is always a worry with white dresses (even thought this is only £60). The embroidered flowers make it pretty, without being too overly girly but the chiffon overlay glams it up a bit. All of that in one dress means it'll go with everything. Oasis might not be entirely in our good books yet, but this dress is swinging it in their favour slightly.

BREAKING NEWS: I love it! It's adorable. Weird how the same dress in blue is so 'meh', though.
ReplyDeleteI knew it! You're right. The blue one is rubbish. Somewhat reminiscent of Sienna Miller, circa 2003...
ReplyDeleteI was admiring that dress on the Oasis website yesterday! If I was getting married, that's the sort of thing I'd have for my wedding dress. A more expensive version, obviously!
ReplyDeleteI think it'd be fab for whenever the sun eventually decides to come out (at the moment the idea of weather that would allow me to wear a dress like that seems like a ludicrous daydream...) and I'm watching Oasis with interest too. I've already earmarked their navy bow print tie-back dress as my next pay day purchase...
You know, the blue is much nicer in real life. I was looking at it yesterday. Pics don't do either justice.
ReplyDeleteActually, I was just thinking that it might look less pretty in the flesh Oasis have been getting in some cheaper fabrics in my eyes, so it's good to know that it's lovely in real life too.
