Sexy Storage: Plumo Dowry Boxes

I gave Plumo a bit of a ribbing last week. It's not that I don't love their pieces, it's just that I can't ever afford to buy any of them. Even if I really want to.

But even though these tin dowry boxes are out of my price range with their £119 price tag, I think they're so beautiful. I like the idea of filling them with really special heirlooms, little treasure that you've collected over the years, and then handing them down to someone else. (I don't intend to use them as actually dowry chests, you understand.)

They're handpainted in Northern India by local craftspeople, with unique and bright designs. Even if you only use yours for towel storage, they're absolutely beautiful.
