Dream Dress: Broderie Anglaise Shirt Dress
This year, I'm trying to move away from my vintage prom dresses, and try something a little different. Not an easy task, since everything in my wardrobe is geared towards the fact that nine times out of ten that's what I'm wearing. But my dress collection does need shaking up a bit.
Luckily, this decision means I can try pretty little swingy numbers like this shirt dress from ASOS. I'm not very good with shirt dresses. In fact, I tried one on at the weekend and looked like I was wearing a boy shirt and ready for bed. But this one is perfectly fitted, and despite looking twee, I've always thought broderie anglaise could be quite sexy. You can very very nearly see through it, after all.
This cream number is lightweight, perfect for Spring and only £45. I'll wear it with tan coloured vintage shoes and an ice cream.

You had me at twee. Love it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful want it!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's very, very lovely. Goodness, there have been too many pretty dresses on this site recently for my wallet to handle!
ReplyDeleteI'd be interested to see how long this is on a normal person. It looks pretty short to me...
One gust of wind, and the whole world would see your Knickers!!!!
ReplyDeleteASOS usually tell you how tall the model wearing it is which gives you a good idea of length.
