Japanese Sake Set

I've never really got into sake, but I know a lot of you are fans. If it means I can use this wonderful sake set from The Japanese Shop, I might just be converted. It's so pretty and would look brilliant on a kitchen table (even if your sushi is from M&S). And, if I decide that I don't like sake, I'll just use it to pour wine. It's only £20 too! Bargain!

  1. Oh so entirely want!

I'll admit though that I didn't really like Sake until I went to a tasting that the Southbank Centre had for it's members last year. 20 or so different sakes later and it really did open my mind to them! I'm sure it had nothing at all to do with being a little merry on them by that point either...

  2. I'm not a big fan of it cold, but hot sake is great - not sure why but it does taste different and has a lovely/scary burning sensation on the way down.

  3. I think it's an acquired taste, but I don't think i've had very good sake either, so I'm not sure I can comment on it entirely. It's akin to drinking nothing but Blossom Hill and saying you don't like wine...

More research must be done, I feel.

  4. I think that it's very important to do further research about alcohol - you know, for the science of course.

That's why I think I'll be trying my bottle of Old Tom Gin now, with a twist of lemon and lots of ice. Just to make sure I still like it.
