Everyone raves about the Vivienne Westwood range for Melissa. I've never really got what the fuss was about. Sure, you can buy a pair of shoes that smell of bubblegum and you can have a pair of designer shoes for less than the average. But then your feet smell of bubblegum in a pair of shoes that everyone seems to own. The slingbacks all look the same to me.But these Melissa mock crocs are a little bit different. I absolutely love the heart shaped buckle, and I'm always going to be a sucker for the traditional Mary Jane shape. They're not too high so they're perfect for running around in (not that I'm doing any running around right now, it's rainy outside and I'm curled up on the sofa watching Eastenders).
The shoes are still pricey at £150 from ASOS, but if you're after a little bit of designer prettiness without the very hefty price tag, these are perfect. And they won't look like the pair everyone else is wearing. They will still smell like bubblegum, though.
