Win! National Cupcake Week contest! Crumbs and Doilies
*Drum roll please*.... The winner is @lindac123! Yay! She's right too, lipstick sprinkles would look lovely! Congratulations! Just email us your details and we'll get your cakey goodness organised.
The rest of you, pop over to the Crumbs and Doilies website and buy yourself some cakes!
*Update* No more entries now! We're picking a winner! *Update*
Yay! More cupcakes! Because it's National Cupcake Week, we're giving you the chance to win a box of cupcakes (and other secret cupcake-based prizes) EVERY SINGLE DAY this week. Today it's the turn of Crumbs and Doilies.
One of the first cupcakeries to really grab the attention of the national press, some might argue that these are the prettiest cupcakes in London. We're certainly a fan of their sprinkles. So if you want to win some Crumbs and Doilies cupcakes what do you have to do?
Tell us if you could have any shaped sprinkle in the whole world, what would it be?
Go nuts! We want crazy sprinkles! Silly things! Stupid sprinkles for happy cake making! We can't guarantee that your cupcakes will have your imaginary sprinkles on, but they will look mighty pretty. The winner will be picked at random, but that doesn't stop you from having fun! And yes, you'll get an extra entry if you retweet this post, or blog about the competition (make sure you leave us a link to your blog post in the comments!)
Now here's the important bit: Crumbs and Doilies are London based, so today's competition is only open for delivery in Central or South West London. Or, you can pick up from the Covent Garden stall on Thursdays, or the Kings Road market stall on Saturday - they get everywhere these sprinkle kings. We've got more giveaways every day this week so if you can't enter this one, you will be able to enter another one. Cross our hearts.
You've got until 4.30pm today to enter and win the tasty treats!
Good luck!
The small print bit: Competition cakes only delivered to Central and West London (but if you don't live there, you can always send them as presents to someone who does). Don't shout at us if you don't win, there's other cupcakes tomorrow. And the day after. And the day after that too. The whole week in fact. We're not allowed to enter, but if you were interested, Siany would love to see spaceship shaped sprinkles. We wish we could enter our own competitions. Humph.

I would have cocktail glass shaped sprinkles. Cocktails and cupcakes just *go* together! The sprinkles would have to be glittery though.
ReplyDeletedevestated when i realised London only - they look delicious! never mind, there's always tomorrow! LoL
ReplyDeleteGood Luck everyone! :-)
delicate little tea cups on saucers
ReplyDeletein a patterned wedgewood blue
I just love cordinating everything..
I would have cats and foxes sprinkled everywhere! In our household, I'm the lazy housecat, and my boyfriend is the urban fox, so kittens and foxes are recurring themes in our world ;)
ReplyDeleteTo such an extent that I am designing a coat of arms to embroider on a cushion - you know, the old shield with an animal either side? Usually it's something like a lion and unicorn, but ours would be kitty and foxy.
Yes, ok, fine, this is very luvvy duvvy, and sickly sweet... Which is why we need those fox/kitten cupcakes, because where else should you put sickly sweet but on a sticky, swirly, delicious cup cake? :)
Skulls! Give those cute cupcakes a dark side. Little skulls and crossbones. In pretty pastel colours for extra oddity.
ReplyDeleteI would have cupcake shaped sprinkles, in a never-ending recursiveness of cupcakes. (the cupcake shaped sprinkles would obviously have sprinkles on - in the shape of cupcakes...)
ReplyDeleteI would very much like guitar-shaped sprinkles - preferably flying Vs! I love all things rock'n'roll, and cute, sweet things too, so it seems the perfect combination! Plus, it would mean the boys, who're normally coy about eating my cupcakes (ooh err!) because they're a bit girly, would lose their shame and scoff the lot! Maybe that's a bad thing... maybe I'll just have to make more. Oh well. Cupcakes for all!
ReplyDeleteI would have people shaped sprinkles!! blue for little boys, pink for little girls!
ReplyDeleteHow about stars, moons and suns?!
ReplyDeleteLeaf-shaped sprinkles, so you could have a cake like an leaf-carpeted park in Autumn.

ReplyDeleteLandmark-shaped sprinkles - Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, London Eye and so on.
ReplyDeletebeautiful feather sprinkles. From tiny delicate, fluffy white ones to decadent peacock feathers - for cupcakes as light as a feather!
ReplyDeleteShoes and handbags - just the ticket for a girly afternoon tea!
ReplyDeleteHave also mentioned you here:
http://weirdbrides.ning.com/profiles/blogs/ooooh-new-website-fave-now-im
Can I be greedy and choose two.
ReplyDeleteSkull and crossbones in a range of colours would be my first choice and my second choice would be cupcakes. Dont you think cupcakes would be even cuter covered in cupcake sprinkles?
unicorns, mermaids and dragons. A mythical cupcake, the taste cannot be explained and people travel miles for the sacred recipe. Come on!
ReplyDeleteCats and dogs! Im not sure why, seems as good an idea as any!
ReplyDeleteI would have dance-shoe shaped sprinkles. My two main loves are dancing and cake, but normally putting them together gets a bit messy :s Dance-shoe sprinkles would let them go together!
ReplyDeleteOh, either skyscraper high-heeled shoe sprinkles, or body parts, just for the giggle factor of looking for the rude bits!
ReplyDeleteFlying saucers! to combine old childhood sweets with lovely adult treats. Now if only we could get some alcohol in as well... (like frozen margaritas are adult slush puppies)
ReplyDeleteid have sweets sprinkles- is sprinkles that looked like licorish allsorts or fruit salads and blackjacks!
ReplyDeleteI would love sprinkles in the shape of lions, for when i'm feeling nervous before an important meeting!
ReplyDeleteWhen I need the heart of a lion to get through the day, the thought of mini king of the jungles roaring in my stomach would be just the thing to turn me into an office wildcat!
I don't even live in London... but willies and boobies would be just oh so funny.
ReplyDeleteI'd like sprinkles in the shape of my Slimming World consultant so I could enjoy swallowing my guilt at the same time as the cake! Unfortunately i am not in London...boo hisss! xx
ReplyDeleteI'd have sprinkles shaped like lightning bolts. They'd give the decoration a bit of edge, and I could pretend I was eating electric cake.
ReplyDeleteYes! Living in London finally pays off!
ReplyDeleteI find this competition reminds me of interesting shaped pasta, and a favourite of mine is tennis racket shaped. I even managed to track down a tennis racket shaped Pizza when I lived in Italy. So if a sprinkle could somehow give itself little netting-esque racket wires, I would find that very, very impressive.
Sarika
Chocolte-bar sprinkles for chocolate flavour, cupcake shaped sprinkles for vanilla flavour, bon-bon shaped sprinkles for candy-flavour, coffee-cup shaped sprinkles for the top of cappuccino flavoured cupcakes and sprinkles that said SEXY for all the wondeerful ladies in the world of every shape and size who love life to the fullest!
ReplyDeleteOh, that's easy - little yellow duck-shaped sprinkles.
ReplyDeleteThese cupcakes look very pretty though, even without ducklings all over them!
Sqeeeeeeee! I love national cupcake week :-) Well I don't live in London BUT I do live near enough that I could (if I won)go and collect them from the Kings Road stall on Saturday!
ReplyDeleteI would have literary cupcake sprinkles!
There would be a fairytale set which would have frog princes, witches, spinning wheels, wolves, little red riding hood, glass slippers etc.
Then I think I would have a Greek myths set with a hydra, pegasus, medusa, Zesus, Herucles, Jason and the Argonauts, Cerbreus and an owl to symbolise Athena.
A Lewis Carroll Alice in Wonderland set and a C.S Lewis Narnia set would be lovely!
Hmmm . . . I guess I would also have a Jane Austen set which would definately include a scrumptious Mr. Darcy shaped sprinkle!
There would also have to be a set devoted to my favourite comic characters like Hellboy.
Ooooh so many ideas . . . maybe I should quit the NHS and start developing these sprinkles! ;-)
As I am feeling the lvoe for the Domestic Sluts at the moment, it would have to be heart-shaped sprinkles.
ReplyDeleteOr boobies.
I'd had to go for alphabet sprinkles. Imagine the fun of the random words that could be created as they land.
ReplyDeletePlus you could switch letters on some to create the words of your choice - H-U-G for my husband, B-U-M for my boss... fun times! :)
I'd like to see kiss sprinkles (red lips doing a kiss like the sweeties) because cupcakes are affectionate little things... :) x
ReplyDeleteI'm having a sparkly day today so would simply like some sparkles on my cupcakes....actually, hang on...if we can go for ANYthing I'll change that sparkle for some bling and have lots of edible gold sprinkles on my cakes. I would sit on a throne and wear a tiarra in my hair whilst eating my cakes :-) lol! And then I'd get back to work!!
ReplyDeleteSprinkles shaped like diamond rings! How cute would they be? Also love the ideas of teacup ones. What about cute little teapot shaped ones? Or butterflies! Or being a librarian I could go all out geek and have them saying the Dewey decimal code for cake! Ok am clearly getting too excited about sprinkles and need to get back to work!
ReplyDeletefrogs and princesses...my favourite fairy tale
ReplyDeleteVitamin sprinkles that tasted yummy! Then I could feel smug about eating my cupcakes! :D
ReplyDeleteJill Pollock
(and I'm retweeting! jillspeaking)
Sparkly unicorn sprinkles!
ReplyDeleteTwitter birds! There could be 140 of them per cake....
ReplyDeleteWillieeeeesssss! xxx
ReplyDeleteButterflies please - sparkly and brightly coloured ones too!
ReplyDeleteI will have mini croissants sprinkled all over it - a little bit like the croissant pavement in Team America if you know what I mean! That will help disguise a cupcake too. :)
ReplyDeleteIt would have to be pineapples!! Don't know why but just love the shape and would go with some tropical flavourings!
ReplyDeleteI'd have little longchamp bags and horses, and little boots, and little scarves...I'm just such a Brussels girl at heart!!
ReplyDeleteI would like sprinkles in the shape of Cinderella's Castle because I'm a sucker for princesses and fairytales!
ReplyDeletei would love lipstick shaped sparkles
ReplyDeleteAnything to do with fitness cause that's as close as I would get to anything exercise elated e.g. dumbells, headbands, water bottles.
ReplyDeleteI would have little ski people sprinkles so that my cupcake frosting looked like a piste. Oooh could have a whole range of snow related sprinkles... snowmen, penguins, little tiny polar bears...
ReplyDeleteI'd have little Kermit sprinkles so I could make a Lady GaGa cupcake! (mildly obsessed with her Kermit dress, still)
ReplyDeleteSuper Mario sprinkles would quite possibly be the coolest thing ever! I made a select of cupcakes iced like the mushrooms once - they were wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWhy that's simple. Cupcake shaped sprinkles for double the cupcakey goodness!
ReplyDeleteI would definately have Charlie the Unicorn shaped sprinkles. Seriously if you have no idea what i am talking about check out: http:http://tinyurl.com/charlietheunicornsprinkles !!
ReplyDeleteAwesomeness!!!
