Autumn is normally by far by my favourite season. But this year, I don't think it's been playing fair. Too little money, too much angst, not enough days kicking leaves in the park. So what do I do when life has thrown me one too many curve balls? Buy a ridiculous pair of shoes of course!
ASOS, I thank you and your shoe angels for gifting us with the celestial delights of the Halo Sandal. What's that? A huge chunky platform that I probably will topple over sideways in? No, it's a huge chunky platform heel that I probably will topple over sideways in COVERED IN METALLIC TILES. A plastic open-toed sling back top that's completely impractical in Winter weather? Hurrah, of course I love it.
At £50 it's not going to solve my money woes but it will make me want to do ridiculous dancing to 90s classics in my bedroom (I'm thinking N-Trance, c.1995) So well worth the price tag then.
What's your cure for the Winter blues? New shoes? 90s dance? For non-footwear related tips, I have been loving Mathilde Heart Manech's lovely five positive things to do this week posts. They'll sort out your head, I'll work on the heels.

I actually made an audible swoon when I saw these. They are happiness in shoe form. I need them more than want them.
ReplyDeleteMUST RESIST.
Oh Kelly, I think you should buy them if you love them that much.
DeleteThank you for the mention Frances - glad you like my posts! Bedroom dancing is an instant happiness maker in this house : )
ReplyDeleteBut thank you! It's such a lovely series of posts.
DeleteOh Frances, usually I'm all 'HELL YES' about your shoes. But no, not with these. I think I hate them.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I thought you might ... I waited till you weren't looking to post them. But imagine how much fun it would be to go dancing in these, your feet wouldn't even hurt on the way home.
DeleteI don't think I'm going to convince you on these, am I?
