Lipstick and Curls at the Clerkenwell Vintage Fashion Fair

If you're after a splash of excitement with your vintage shopping in London, you might want to pop along to the Clerkenwell Vintage Fashion Fair on September 13th. I spotted a post about it over on Retro To Go and it sounds great fun.

The standard vintagey stuff will be there (naturally). So expect cupcakes and an abundance of tea dresses. But I'm more excited about the retro hair and make-up classes by Lipstick and Curls. If you've ever wanted to learn how to get that 50s style hair, or make your eyes look all Twiggy-ish, then pop along and they'll show you how. You can pre-book a 2 1/2 hour appointment with them for £35 which guarantees you entry for free into the rest of the fair.

You'll find us there twirling about in vintage dresses and being silly with kirby grips, but you wouldn't expect anything else, would you?

When? 13th September 11-5
Where? The Old Sessions House, Clerkenwell Green, London, EC1R ONA
Nearest Tube? Farringdon/ Old Street.
How much? A bargainous £3 for entry, free if you book a Lipstick and Curls class.

See you there!

  3. It looks great fun, but I know the Lipstick and Curls classes are being booked up fast. They've also told me they're doing 50s lessons, not 40s - sorry to misinform.

Of course, if you don't fancy getting your hair done, you can always do a bit of dancing in the lindyhop lessons. That'll be fun too.

  4. Very interesting, I must say though that the girl in the picture is beautiful. Wish I looked like that!
