Despite all that, I'd never thought to actually wear tea until I discovered Claire Lowe's unique and delicate tea jewellery. I spotted her work at a recent craft fair in Brighton, and was instantly addicted.

Seen close-up, these tiny silver stud earrings have flecks of black tea embedded into resin. It's a technique Claire uses a lot and you can also see it in her necklaces and bracelets:

Since discovering Claire Lowe, I seem to be spotting tea-related jewellery wherever I go, and for those who like something a bit bolder and more in-your-face, these bright, tannin-charged pendants by Clutterfly really make a statement:
