All I want for Christmas: Sarah hearts jewellery

I'm not sure if there's an official word for it, but I'm a jewellery-a-holic. A blingophile. No outfit is complete without an acrylic rabbit in a hat or brace of bronze horses galloping across my collarbone, so I think a piece of jewellery is the perfect present. Whether your budget is pocket or king size, here's some suggestions for the over-accessorizer in your life.

Under £5

For a work secret Santa or a sweet stocking filler, Finest Imaginary's goofy heart brooch is just £4.99.

Under £10

I love all Sarah Birt's creepy folklore figures and viking/gnome necklaces but these T'wit Ta'woo owl stud earrings might be my favourites.

They're sterling silver and every pair of earrings sold raises £1 for a sanctuary for injured birds of prey. Ten quid for cute earrings and the feel-good factor - not bad.

Under £20

For arty girls who clash their cardigans and pencil skirts, pick out this set of Lazy Oaf stationery themed brooches.

They're only £12, so spend your other £8 on two of their excellent badge packs (examples below - bags the 'I dance badly' one).

Under £40

Swell Vintage, or Frankie as her mum calls her, reworks retro jewellery to create one-of-a-kind pieces like this very cute bracelet. Made from a vintage frog brooch, this can be resized to fit, and, at £32, is a very decent price for something totally unique.

Under £100 (er, almost)

If you're looking for something special to remind your mum how much you love her, or impress your girlfriend, try Alex Monroe. His handmade jewellery is 22ct gold-plated and it's grown-up without being boring.

This pea pod necklace is just over budget at £108 but it's quirky enough to be special and different, and beautiful enough to wear everyday.

  1. I was pointing at the Alex Monroe feather earrings on Saturday, in the hope that Santa might have been watching but I would be equally happy with the owl ones.

  3. There's a discount code for anyone heading over to FinestImaginary, too. tenpercent2010 does exactly what it says on the tin :)

Thanks for mentioning us here! x
