This weekend I'm cooking dinner for some friends, so I've decided to use my lovely lemonade jug and make a pitcher of sangria. There's nothing more summery than pitchers of cocktails and sangria is the best one. It's a great colour, and it reminds me of living in Spain when I was a teenager. You'll need these things:
- Red wine, Rioja works really well.
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
- 1 orange, cut into wedges
- 25ml Brandy,
- Soda water
- Sugar
- Ice
Pour everything apart from the soda water together into a large jug and chill for a few hours. Then top up with soda and some more ice just before serving. Simplest cocktail recipe ever. I could get used to making pitchers of stuff.
