Off the Hook
Having hooks on the back of a door is one of those ridiculously useful details which I notice if it's not there. I need hooks in the bedroom and bathroom - they're just so handy. However, the downside is that they're unsightly, and there are usually not enough of them. That's why I think this black bird multi-hook from Oliver Bonas, £26, is perfect, with ten hooks in total and five lovely birds to disguise them! And because it can just be hooked over the top of the door, there is no need for any nails, adhesives or DIY jiggery.
I think the perching birds is a lovely yet simple design, and even once you've slung your dressing gown from it, you can still see the little birds' faces peering over the top. (Nothing Hitchcock-esque about them either.) Beats those usual white plastic stick-on hooks any day.
Of course, if you don't have the need for a full set of bird hooks, you can also buy a single bird hook for just £8.50. but personally I think they look a bit lonely on their own. All hooks available from Oliver Bonas.
