J'adore Chocolate

Later tonight, I'm going to have a bash at making my own chocolates. Which basically means that everyone is going to have chocolate presents from now on. I didn't deliberately buy this heart-shaped chocolate mould in time for Christmas, but it's perfect timing seeing as I have no money. The mould is silicon, which is perfect for prising the chocolates out once they're set, and you could even use it for ice cubes and little vodka jellies.

It's £8.03 from Amazon, and once I've had a play, I'll show you how to make chocolate treats. This mould makes 15 of them, it's going to take a while to make presents for everybody. Especially if I 'test' them along the way.

  6. Could you just use a silicone ice cube tray (like the ones from Ikea)?

  7. No reason why not, but I want to put cherries in mine, and these are deep enough. I think these are perfect chocolate size, but if you've got a mould that will work, of course you could use that.

I could make a giant chocolate rabbit from my jelly mould...

  9. Oooh, where are you getting your chocolate-making inspiration from? I might have a go with my existing (rather boring) silicone ice cube makers, but wondered what sort of sites you were using? Thanks!

  10. Erm... I'm kinda making up a recipe as I go along! I think kirsch cherries, rum ganache, rose flavoured creams for Alex S. I've been meaning to do it for a while, so all my little ideas and info are going to come together this weekend!
