It's November, and hence an acceptable time to find a new calendar for next year. Rather than rummaging around in WHSmith's bargain bin in mid-January, trying to decide between
'For the love of pugs' and
'Ferrets Go Fishing', why not invest in this bold and beautiful calendar from
Cats Let Nothing Darken Their Roar.

Each month features stylish graphic spelling out strange phrases, with the letters of the month picked out in a contrasting colour. I love how the phrases all sound like mistranslations or Chinese whispers. 'My mink owns an art channel' probably started out as something about minty artichokes. I think November's 'nothing like love from a brave terrier' is unchanged from the original though. And 'atoms are so pretty and little' is just scientific fact.

At €40 (roughly £35) it's not cheap, but think of it as a piece of art rather than ephemera. Get your order in soon, there's only 500 of
these out there.
These are at Present&Correct too, they're in the UK and I paid £25 plus postage. Bit more purse friendly!
ReplyDeleteMuch better, thanks Romey!
